This past Sunday was the Feast of Corpus Christi and a procession was held at Our Lady Help of Christians church. This procession is held on this day all over the world as a public Catholic tradition where the consecrated Host (the actual body of Christ) is placed inside an ornate, sunburst-shaped vessel called a Monstrance.

Fr. Chris carried the Monstrance under a fabric canopy (the baldachin) to signify honour and protection for the Blessed Sacrament. The procession, enriched by hymns, incense, and the faithful, weaved through the streets of Wallaceburg, transforming worship from the confines of the church into a vibrant public declaration of faith to the world.

We invite everyone to join us for the Feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus procession, taking place this Friday, June 12, at Sacred Heart church in Port Lambton. Mass begins at 6 p.m.

Fr. Chris demonstrated exceptional sportsmanship last Thursday as he participated in the St. Elizabeth’s 'Pie in the Face Fundraiser.' This event was part of the school community’s initiative to raise $100,000 for the installation of an accessible playground, designed to cater to the diverse needs of both their students and the wider community. The spirited Pie in the Face fundraiser successfully contributed over $1,000 toward this goal, bringing them one step closer to having a playground where everyone can play and thrive. We sure hope Carolyn has some good quality laundry detergent at the rectory 😆

Summer Camp for Kids Aged 5–10!
Join us for a week of fun and faith at the Kent Lambton Roman Catholic Family of Parishes’ summer camp! From July 27–31, children aged 5–10 or entering Grade SK–5 in September are invited to Holy Family Church for mornings filled with singing, dancing, and learning about Jesus. From 9 a.m. to 12 noon, kids will engage in crafts, songs, games, snacks, and stories that celebrate our Catholic faith. With a cost of $30 per applicant for the entire week, your child will explore the Fruits (and Vegetables) of the Spirit and grow in love, joy, and peace. Spaces are limited to 35 children, so be sure to register soon.
