What a fun time celebrating our amazing volunteers at our “Golfing the Galaxy” Teams Party 🚀⛳️

From bucket golf, parfait creations, and fun moments together, there were many laughs and great conversations and meaningful shout-outs to one another. It was such a gift to celebrate all God has done through this team this year.

We’re so thankful for every person who serves so faithfully, not just by filling a role, but by helping create a church where people are welcomed, cared for, discipled, and pointed toward Jesus. The impact of this team reaches far beyond Sundays and into the life of our church, neighbourhood, and city with the hope of the gospel.

To everyone who came, thanks for making it such a great day. And to those who couldn’t make it, you were celebrated too and deeply missed. We’re grateful we get to keep doing this ministry together!

Some days are full, some days are overwhelming, most days are a mix of both.

Our monthly Parent Drop-In is a simple space to come as you are, connect with other parents, and let your kids play while you catch your breath.

If you’re a parent in the neighbourhood, we’d love to have you join us.

And if you’re part of our church, think of a parent you could invite or share this with, someone who might need a space like this right now.

Upcoming dates: May 6, June 10; 10 am - 12 pm

Church, He is risen!

What a joy filled day together, celebrating our risen King Jesus.

A beautiful sunrise by the water.
Tables full of food and fun with the community.
A room full of voices lifting up the name of Jesus.

And at the centre of it all, this truth:
Jesus is alive.

Not just a story we revisit once a year, but a reality we’re living in right now.

To everyone who showed up, served, invited, baked, set up, cleaned up, and made space for others, thank you. You helped create something beautiful at DHBC.

And here’s the best part, it doesn’t end here.
The same hope, joy, and new life we celebrated this weekend is ours today… and tomorrow.

This is what it means to be God’s children.
Alive in Him. Walking in it, together.

Powerful experience of prayer last night as we joined the church around the world in praying for an end to the online sexual exploitation of children. Thank you and for organizing this effort and thank you to everyone who showed up to stand in the gap for those still waiting to be found.

Before the joy of Easter comes the stillness of Good Friday.

It is the day the Church remembers the cross, the sacrifice of Jesus, and the depth of God’s love for the world.

Join us for a quiet and reflective service of Scripture, prayer, and worship as we remember the story that leads to resurrection.

All are welcome.

Grateful for the investment of + faithful friends who lead us through a Consultation this past weekend. Can’t speak highly enough about the value of this process, whether you’re in a challenging place right now as a church or looking ahead and want a second set of eyes to help you process the best way forward.

In this time of unimaginable grief and loss, would you join together with us in prayer for the people of Tumbler Ridge. We look as well to offer further tangible support in the coming days and weeks in partnership with other Fellowship churches in our region.

One of the ongoing questions for any church, or follower of Jesus individually even, is how exactly we are supposed to exist in a world, not just indifferent towards, but increasingly hostile to the Christian faith. On the one hand we can be tempted towards a privatization of our faith; keeping to ourselves so as to not attract too much attention. On the other hand, we can be tempted towards domination; seeing the world and culture as an enemy to be conquered for Jesus. Yet neither of those approaches lines up well with Jesus’ call to be both His witnesses as well as salt and light.

Beginning Feb. 1, 2026 we’ll embark on a study through the book of Acts called “A Public Faith” looking at how the early church navigated this very same question of how to exist in an equally hostile world, all while avoiding either of those extremes in the process.
We hope you’ll come out and learn together with us.
