Welcome to Mount Dennis Baptist Church as we join hundreds of Baptist churches across Ontario and Quebec in celebrating CBOQ Sunday 2026.

A Family of Churches, Transformed by Christ, Revealing God's Kingdom

This Sunday we will hear a special message from Rev. Leanne Friesen, Executive Minister of the Canada Baptists of Ontario and Quebec.

Message Title:
"Then They Prayed..."

Drawing from Acts 4 and Acts 12, this message reminds us of the power of prayer in the life of the early church and challenges us to become a people who seek God together in faith, unity, and dependence upon the Holy Spirit.

What a blessing it has been to gather with our Baptist family from across Ontario and Quebec at CBOQ Assembly 2026 at Brock University.

Under the theme “And Then They Prayed,” we were reminded that prayer is not an afterthought, it is our starting place. Like the early church in the Book of Acts, we gathered to seek God’s face, listen for His voice, worship together, and discern His leading for our churches, communities, and our shared mission.

Over these past few days, we have experienced moments of deep prayer, spiritual renewal, refreshing, encouragement, fellowship, and worship. We have been reminded that before plans are made, decisions are taken, or ministries are launched, God’s people must first come together in prayer.

We are grateful for the opportunity to represent Mount Dennis Baptist Church and to stand alongside so many brothers and sisters in Christ who are faithfully serving across Ontario and Quebec.

As we return to our local churches, may we carry this posture with us, seeking God first, trusting His leading, and depending on His Spirit.
