☀️🎒 Community, Food, Fun & Giving Back! ❤️
What a beautiful day of community, generosity, fellowship, and love at Mount Dennis Baptist Church!
Our Community BBQ & Backpack Giveaway was a wonderful reminder of what can happen when people come together with a heart to serve. From great food and fellowship to music, face painting, the bouncy castle, outdoor games, and the distribution of backpacks and school supplies, the day was filled with joy, laughter, and meaningful connections.
But above everything, we give God all the glory and all the thanks. None of this would be possible without His provision, His grace, and the incredible people He continues to bring alongside us.
It was also a special joy to mark our pastor’s 40th birthday in a way that reflected his heart for service and community, by turning the occasion into an opportunity to bless and serve our community. Rev. Dennis Onyilo we thank you for all your sacrifice of love for our church and wider community ❤️
We want to express our heartfelt gratitude to every person, church, organization, community partner, donor, volunteer, police officer, family, and friend who helped make this day possible.

And to our incredible Mount Dennis Baptist Church volunteers and Pacesetters Summer Camp team — thank you! From planning and cooking to decorating, serving, organizing, cleaning, registering families, distributing supplies, caring for children, cleaning and staying behind to make sure everything was done, your tireless service did not go unnoticed.
To every parent, child, family, camper, and community member who joined us — thank you for allowing us to serve you. It is a privilege to walk alongside our community.
We are also grateful for the continued support of the Canadian Baptists of Ontario & Quebec for standing with Mount Dennis Baptist Church and supporting the initiatives God has entrusted to us.
We currently still have approximately 200 children on our waiting list, and we are trusting God to make a way for us to bless even more children in the coming days.
If you would like to help, the need is still there. We welcome donations of backpacks, school supplies, and financial contributions so we can continue reaching children and families who are waiting.
A backpack may seem like a simple gift, but to a child, it can communicate something powerful:
“You are seen. You are valued. Your community cares about you. And you are not alone.”
We thank God for every seed that has been sown into this work. We pray that He will replenish every giver, every volunteer, every partner, and every person who has sacrificed their time, resources, energy, and prayers.
