“In this generation today, where there's all these things being spoken over a generation, trust me, if you spend if you spend any time with our young people, they will tell you that this world is telling them that their their life is worth nothing. They will never amount to anything. Perhaps for some of you, you're you're being fed these lines that it's not worth it, your life's not worth it, your life will never get better, your marriage will never get better, your job will never get better. Stop allowing voices that didn't die for you to define you. The loudest voice in your life should be Jesus.”

“So I ask you this morning, why do we spend so much time worrying about this little bit when we have eternity to think about? Why do we spend so much of our time and our effort talking or thinking about, will I have enough money? Will I get a promotion? Will they recognize me? What will people say about me? Do I have the right house, the right car, enough followers? Am I successful enough? And God is saying, listen. He's saying, listen. You're living like the inch is everything. When I created you, God created you and I for eternity. Friends, we spend our entire lives decorating the inch while neglecting the eternity.”

“Some people keep saying, God, give me direction, and God says, I already did. Some of you today, you know exactly what God has called you to do, and you're running from it. You need to forgive them, perhaps. God's calling you to forgive. God's calling you to serve. Stop compromising. Use your gift. Tell somebody about Jesus. End the sinful relationship. Take the step. And we keep praying. We keep praying, God, give me another confirmation. Oh, I love those people, bless their heart. Sometimes you don't need another confirmation. In fact, most times you don't need another confirmation, let's just be honest. You need courage. You need courage to obey the last thing God told you.”

“You see, the fruit is for somebody else. Now, here's something we miss. The branch doesn't need its own fruit. Interesting, isn't it? The fruit is produced for somebody else. Love isn't just for you, it's for somebody around you. Patience isn't just for you. Somebody difficult needs your patience. Kindness isn't just for you. Somebody hurting needs your kindness this week. Peace isn't just for you. Your home, your workplace needs peace that you're carrying. Joy isn't just for you. Somebody discouraged needs the joy that God has produced in you.”

A BIG THANK-YOU! A huge thank you to Paul Galbriath Construction! 🏐🙌

Paul generously donated his time and incredible excavator skills to help build our beach volleyball courts at the church. Watching him work, it’s clear he’s a master at what he does and his generosity and skill do not go unnoticed!

As one of the local contractors who helped make this project possible, Paul helped us create something that will serve our community for years to come. These courts were built for our MEGA Sports Camp and for the whole community to enjoy as part of our new SouthPort Community Grounds.

Paul is a great guy with a generous heart, and we’re so grateful for the care and effort he put into this project.

He also offers snow removal, and we can’t recommend him highly enough. If you’re looking for help this winter, give Paul Galbriath Construction a call!

“And I wonder sometimes if we have complicated something Jesus made remarkably simple. And we keep asking, Lord, can I become stronger? Or, how can I become more fruitful? Or, how can I become more effective? Or how can I become the person you've called me to be? And Jesus answers very simply, stay connected to me. Listen, you cannot produce spiritually where you are not receiving relationally. The secret is not to somehow try harder. The secret rather is staying closer. And what are we to stay closer to? The Bible says that we are to abide in him, which means that that would point us to an understanding that we need to be staying closer to Jesus.”

“Nobody wakes up in the morning and says, today, I think I'll completely drift away from God. It happens slowly. One prayer you don't pray, one Sunday becomes three, one compromise becomes normal, one conviction gets ignored, one excuse becomes a lifestyle, and slowly, the branch begins drying out. The enemy doesn't always need to destroy you. I want you to hear this this morning. Sometimes the enemy needs to simply disconnect you. Because Satan understands that if he disconnects the branch, he doesn't actually have to destroy the fruit. The fruit will eventually die on its own.”

“Maybe this morning you don't need another strategy. Maybe this morning you don't need another book. You don't need another podcast. You you don't even need another sermon. Maybe you just need Jesus. Maybe you just need to come back to the vine because when Jesus Christ becomes your source, love flows, joy flows, peace flows, power flows, boldness flows, hope flows, and then the fruit begins appearing, not because you tried harder, but because you stayed closer.”
