The first Friday in June is all about celebrating everyone’s favorite sweet treat! 🍩

Stop by and say hello at the Thrift Store —our volunteer Joyce is looking after things for us today!

Did you know that National Donut Day was established by the Salvation Army in 1938? The day honors the courageous "Donut Lassies" who served fresh donuts, coffee, and comfort to soldiers on the front lines during World War I.

Today, we celebrate their spirit of service and kindness while enjoying a sweet treat!

This week we’re asking for donations of feminine hygiene products, toilet paper, side dishes, canned items, cookies and kraft dinner. Every donation, not matter the size, helps better support those in need in our community.

Donations can be dropped off directly at the food bank in Port Elgin or at one of our local grocery store bins. We're located at 614 Barnes Avenue and Open Monday, Tuesday and Friday 9am - 3pm.
