On Sunday morning, we talked about our BIC value of "Believing the Bible: We value the Bible as God’s authoritative Word, study it together, and build our lives on its truth." We talked for longer than expected and, in conversation after the service, I (Jon) heard from others that I wasn't the only one who felt we'd barely scratched the surface of what we could have discussed!

Today, I came across an article about the Bible (specifically about Bible translations) that might be of interest to the "Bible Nerds" among us. It is only the start of a further direction that our conversation about the Bible could take us. I LOVE how deep and rich and beautiful this God-breathed book is! But remember...the goal isn't to nail down our translation - or our interpretation. It is to be "thoroughly equipped for every good work." (2 Timothy 3:17) It is to "build our lives on its truth."
