Un an nou bisericesc binecuvântat! A blessed New Church Year!

Îndemn la început de an bisericesc
“Eu te îndemn stăruitor în fața lui Dumnezeu și a lui Iisus Hristos (...);
propovăduiește cuvântul cu timp și fără timp (...). Tu fii treaz în toate,
suferă răul, fă lucru de evanghelist, slujba ta fă-o deplin!”
(2 Timotei 4; 1-2, 5)
La începutul unui nou an bisericesc, cuvântul Sfântului Apostol Pavel către Timotei răsună și înaintea noastră ca un îndemn, ca o chemare și, în același timp, ca o responsabilitate: „slujba fă-o deplin!”
Biserica își începe din nou drumul unei alte perioade liturgice, nu ca pe o simplă schimbare de calendar, ci ca pe o nouă ocazie de a ne apropia de Dumnezeu, de a ne înnoi viața și de a redescoperi frumusețea și adevărul chemării noastre creștine. Fiecare început ne amintește că Dumnezeu ne dăruiește timp pentru îndreptare, pentru creștere duhovnicească, pentru lucrarea binelui și pentru unirea cu El.
Cuvântul Apostolului este adresat mai întâi slujitorului Bisericii: „propovăduiește cuvântul cu timp și fără timp”. El este chemat să fie vestitor al Evangheliei nu doar prin cuvânt, ci și prin viața sa, prin răbdare, prin iubire, prin jertfelnicie și prin fidelitatea față de Hristos. Într-o lume în care glasuri multe încearcă să spună omului ce să creadă și cm să trăiască, slujitorul altarului este chemat să păstreze limpede și viu glasul Evangheliei.
De aceea, adresăm un gând de recunoștință și de încurajare tuturor preoților care își poartă cu smerenie și dăruire crucea slujirii. „Fii treaz în toate, suferă răul” – sunt cuvinte care ne amintesc că slujirea adevărată presupune răbdare, statornicie și disponibilitatea de a ne jertfi pentru ceilalți. Slujitorul altarului este chemat să fie aproape de omul care se bucură, dar mai ales de cel care plânge; aproape de cel puternic, dar și de cel căzut; să fie o prezență care vindecă, unește și întărește.
Dar chemarea Apostolului nu îi privește numai pe clerici. Fiecare credincios este chemat să fie un vestitor al Evangheliei prin propria sa viață. Familia, locul de muncă, școala, comunitatea și toate întâlnirile noastre cu semenii pot deveni locuri în care iubirea lui Hristos este făcută cunoscută.
A propovădui „cu timp și fără timp” înseamnă să nu ne rușinăm de credința noastră și să nu o păstrăm doar pentru momentele petrecute în biserică. Înseamnă să fim creștini și atunci când este ușor, și atunci când este greu; când suntem apreciați, dar și când suntem neînțeleși; în bucurie, dar și în încercare.
„Tu fii treaz în toate!” – este un îndemn foarte actual astăzi! Să fim treji la nevoile celui de lângă noi, treji la ispitele care ne îndepărtează de Dumnezeu, treji la cuvintele pe care le rostim, la gândurile pe care le cultivăm și la felul în care ne trăim credința. Să nu lăsăm ca graba, zgomotul lumii și grijile de fiecare zi să ne fure ceea ce este esențial: legătura vie cu Dumnezeu.
În noul an bisericesc, suntem chemați să redescoperim Sfânta Liturghie, rugăciunea, Sfânta Spovedanie, Sfânta Împărtășanie, citirea Sfintei Scripturi, nevoința și milostenia nu ca pe simple îndatoriri, ci ca pe izvoare ale vieții noastre în Hristos.
Să facem din acest nou început un timp al împăcării și al armoniei. Să ne iertăm unii pe alții, să ne apropiem de cei pe care i-am uitat, să întindem mâna celui aflat în nevoie și să redescoperim bucuria de a face binele fără a aștepta răsplată.
Iar nouă, tuturor – cler și credincioși – ne rămâne porunca simplă și profundă a Apostolului: „slujba fă-o deplin!” Fiecare are o slujire înaintea lui Dumnezeu. Slujitorul la altar și în mijlocul comunității; părinții în familie; tinerii în mărturisirea curată a credinței lor; bunicii prin rugăciune și înțelepciune; fiecare dintre noi prin darurile pe care Dumnezeu ni le-a încredințat.
Să nu trăim acest nou an bisericesc ca simpli privitori sau spectatori, ci ca mădulare vii ale Trupului lui Hristos, purtându-ne unii pe alții în rugăciune și în iubire.
La început de drum, să-I cerem lui Dumnezeu să ne dăruiască credință statornică, inimă curată, putere în încercări, înțelepciune în cuvânt și bucuria slujirii. Să ne ajute să fim lumină acolo unde este întuneric, pace acolo unde este tulburare, nădejde acolo unde este deznădejde și iubire acolo unde oamenii au uitat să se iubească.
Fie ca fiecare zi a noului an bisericesc să ne apropie mai mult de Hristos și unii de alții și să ne găsească treji în credință, statornici în rugăciune și deplini în slujire.
Cu nădejdea că Dumnezeu va binecuvânta fiecare casă, fiecare familie, fiecare parohie și întreaga noastră comunitate, vă doresc tuturor un An Nou Bisericesc binecuvântat, cu pace în suflet, sănătate, întărire duhovnicească și multe roade bune!
„Harul Domnului nostru Iisus Hristos și dragostea lui Dumnezeu Tatăl și împărtășirea Sfântului Duh să fie cu voi cu toți!” (2 Corinteni 13, 13)

An Exhortation at the Beginning of the New Ecclesiastical Year
“I solemnly charge you before God and the Lord Jesus Christ (...);
proclaim the word; be ready in season and out of season (...). Be watchful in all things,
endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry!”
(2 Timothy 4:1–2, 5)
At the beginning of a new ecclesiastical year, the words of Saint Paul the Apostle addressed to Timothy resound before us as an exhortation, a calling, and, at the same time, a responsibility: “fulfill your ministry!”
The Church once again begins the journey of another liturgical year, not as a mere change of calendar, but as a new opportunity to draw closer to God, to renew our lives, and to rediscover the beauty and truth of our Christian calling. Every beginning reminds us that God grants us time for repentance and renewal, for spiritual growth, for doing good, and for union with Him.
The Apostle’s word is addressed first to the minister of the Church: “proclaim the word; be ready in season and out of season.” He is called to be a herald of the Gospel not only through his words, but also through his life, through patience, love, self-sacrifice, and faithfulness to Christ. In a world in which many voices seek to tell people what to believe and how to live, the servant of the altar is called to preserve the voice of the Gospel clear and alive.
Therefore, we offer a word of gratitude and encouragement to all priests who carry the cross of their ministry with humility and devotion. “Be watchful in all things, endure afflictions”—these words remind us that true ministry requires patience, steadfastness, and a willingness to sacrifice ourselves for others. The servant of the altar is called to be close to those who rejoice, but especially to those who weep; close to those who are strong, but also to those who have fallen; to be a presence that heals, unites, and strengthens.
Yet the Apostle’s calling is not addressed only to the clergy. Every believer is called to be a witness to the Gospel through his or her own life. The family, the workplace, the school, the community, and all our encounters with our fellow human beings can become places where the love of Christ is made known.
To proclaim the Gospel “in season and out of season” means that we should not be ashamed of our faith or keep it only for the moments we spend in church. It means being Christians when it is easy and when it is difficult; when we are appreciated and when we are misunderstood; in times of joy and in times of trial.
“Be watchful in all things!”—this exhortation is especially relevant today. Let us be attentive to the needs of those around us, watchful of the temptations that draw us away from God, mindful of the words we speak, of the thoughts we cultivate, and of the way in which we live our faith. Let us not allow the haste, noise, and cares of everyday life to take away what is essential: our living relationship with God.
In the new ecclesiastical year, we are called to rediscover the Divine Liturgy, prayer, Holy Confession, Holy Communion, the reading of Holy Scripture, spiritual ascesis, and acts of mercy, not as mere obligations, but as wellsprings of our life in Christ.
Let us make this new beginning a time of reconciliation and harmony. Let us forgive one another, draw near to those whom we have forgotten, extend a helping hand to those in need, and rediscover the joy of doing good without expecting anything in return.
And to all of us—clergy and faithful alike—there remains the simple yet profound command of the Apostle: “fulfill your ministry!” Each one of us has a ministry before God: the servant of the altar in the Church and in the midst of the community; parents within the family; young people in their sincere confession of faith; grandparents through prayer and wisdom; and each of us through the gifts that God has entrusted to us.
Let us not live this new ecclesiastical year as mere onlookers or spectators, but as living members of the Body of Christ, carrying one another in prayer and love.
At the beginning of this journey, let us ask God to grant us steadfast faith, pure hearts, strength in times of trial, wisdom in our words, and the joy of serving others. May He help us to be light where there is darkness, peace where there is turmoil, hope where there is despair, and love where people have forgotten how to love one another.
May every day of the new ecclesiastical year draw us closer to Christ and to one another, and may it find us watchful in faith, steadfast in prayer, and faithful in our ministry.
With the hope that God will bless every home, every family, every parish, and our entire community, I wish you all a blessed New Ecclesiastical Year, filled with peace of soul, good health, spiritual strength, and abundant good fruits!

Exhortation au début de la nouvelle année ecclésiastique
« Je t’adjure solennellement devant Dieu et devant le Seigneur Jésus-Christ (...);
proclame la Parole, insiste en toute occasion, favorable ou non (...). Sois vigilant en toute chose,
supporte les épreuves, accomplis ton œuvre d’évangéliste, remplis pleinement ton ministère ! »
(2 Timothée 4, 1-2, 5)
Au commencement d’une nouvelle année ecclésiastique, les paroles de Saint Paul l’Apôtre adressées à Timothée résonnent également pour nous comme une exhortation, un appel et, en même temps, une responsabilité : « remplis pleinement ton ministère ! »
L’Église entreprend à nouveau le chemin d’une nouvelle période liturgique, non pas comme un simple changement de calendrier, mais comme une nouvelle occasion de nous rapprocher de Dieu, de renouveler notre vie et de redécouvrir la beauté et la vérité de notre vocation chrétienne. Chaque commencement nous rappelle que Dieu nous accorde du temps pour la conversion, pour la croissance spirituelle, pour accomplir le bien et pour nous unir à Lui.
La parole de l’Apôtre s’adresse tout d’abord au ministre de l’Église : « proclame la Parole, insiste en toute occasion, favorable ou non ». Il est appelé à être témoin et messager de l’Évangile non seulement par sa parole, mais aussi par sa vie, par sa patience, son amour, son esprit de sacrifice et sa fidélité au Christ. Dans un monde où de nombreuses voix cherchent à dire à l’homme ce qu’il doit croire et comment il doit vivre, le serviteur de l’autel est appelé à garder claire et vivante la voix de l’Évangile.
C’est pourquoi nous adressons une parole de gratitude et d’encouragement à tous les prêtres qui portent avec humilité et dévouement la croix de leur ministère. « Sois vigilant en toute chose, supporte les épreuves » : ces paroles nous rappellent que le véritable ministère exige patience, persévérance et disponibilité à nous sacrifier pour les autres. Le serviteur de l’autel est appelé à être proche de celui qui se réjouit, mais surtout de celui qui pleure; proche de celui qui est fort, mais aussi de celui qui est tombé; à être une présence qui guérit, unit et fortifie.
Cependant, l’appel de l’Apôtre ne concerne pas seulement le clergé. Chaque fidèle est appelé à être témoin de l’Évangile par sa propre vie. La famille, le lieu de travail, l’école, la communauté et toutes nos rencontres avec nos semblables peuvent devenir des lieux où l’amour du Christ est rendu visible et connu.
Proclamer l’Évangile « en toute occasion, favorable ou non » signifie ne pas avoir honte de notre foi et ne pas la réserver uniquement aux moments passés dans l’église. Cela signifie être chrétiens lorsque cela est facile comme lorsque cela est difficile; lorsque nous sommes appréciés comme lorsque nous sommes incompris; dans la joie comme dans l’épreuve.
« Sois vigilant en toute chose ! » — cet appel est particulièrement actuel aujourd’hui. Soyons attentifs aux besoins de celui qui est près de nous, vigilants face aux tentations qui nous éloignent de Dieu, attentifs aux paroles que nous prononçons, aux pensées que nous cultivons et à la manière dont nous vivons notre foi. Ne permettons pas que la précipitation, le bruit du monde et les soucis quotidiens nous fassent perdre ce qui est essentiel: notre relation vivante avec Dieu.
Au cours de cette nouvelle année ecclésiastique, nous sommes appelés à redécouvrir la Divine Liturgie, la prière, la Confession, la Sainte Communion, la lecture de la Sainte Écriture, l’ascèse et les œuvres de miséricorde, non comme de simples obligations, mais comme des sources de notre vie dans le Christ.
Faisons de ce nouveau commencement un temps de réconciliation et d’harmonie. Pardonnons-nous les uns les autres, rapprochons-nous de ceux que nous avons oubliés, tendons la main à celui qui est dans le besoin et redécouvrons la joie de faire le bien sans attendre de récompense.
Et à nous tous — clergé et fidèles — demeure la parole simple et profonde de l’Apôtre : « remplis pleinement ton ministère ! » Chacun de nous a une vocation et un service devant Dieu: le serviteur de l’autel dans l’Église et au milieu de la communauté; les parents au sein de la famille; les jeunes dans le témoignage sincère de leur foi; les grands-parents par leur prière et leur sagesse; chacun de nous à travers les dons que Dieu lui a confiés.
Ne vivons pas cette nouvelle année ecclésiastique comme de simples observateurs ou spectateurs, mais comme des membres vivants du Corps du Christ, nous portant les uns les autres dans la prière et dans l’amour.
Au début de ce chemin, demandons à Dieu de nous accorder une foi ferme, un cœur pur, la force dans les épreuves, la sagesse dans nos paroles et la joie du service. Qu’Il nous aide à être lumière là où il y a des ténèbres, paix là où il y a le trouble, espérance là où il y a le désespoir, et amour là où les hommes ont oublié de s’aimer les uns les autres.
Que chaque jour de la nouvelle année ecclésiastique nous rapproche davantage du Christ et les uns des autres, et qu’il nous trouve vigilants dans la foi, persévérants dans la prière et fidèles dans notre service.
Dans l’espérance que Dieu bénira chaque foyer, chaque famille, chaque paroisse et toute notre communauté, je vous souhaite à tous une nouvelle année ecclésiastique bénie, remplie de paix intérieure, de santé, de force spirituelle et de nombreux fruits de bonté !
« Que la grâce du Seigneur Jésus-Christ, l’amour de Dieu le Père et la communion du Saint-Esprit soient avec vous tous ! » (2 Corinthiens 13, 13)
