This day. Remembering the cost of His life. His final breath. The words as He hung there, Father, forgive them, they know not... mocked and scourged for the price we deserved to pay for our lives in the darkness, with out hope, without life, all so we didn't have to pay the price we couldn't have possibly afforded. Today, I encourage you all to reflect on this. The weight of the situation and the price He paid for you. The price the Father paid as He watched His Son die for you and me. These reflections are important as we keep in mind that this day while grave in nature to the natural eye, points to the Light, Jesus Christ, bloodied, beaten and murdered for our transgressions and that it was not the end...bur the beginning of the greatest triumph in history. It truly is Good Friday. Be blessed in the truth of the Cross of Jesus Christ this day!

Our dear friend Michael Almen went to be with Jesus. A service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday November 15th at 1pm at Life Church Nipawin. Please continue to keep his family and friends in your prayers in this difficult time.

We will be meeting out at the Regional Park Nipawin this Friday August 15th at 7pm, for a fire and time to hang out and have fun! Bring your own chair if you have one and if there is something specific you would like to cook over the fire! Send us a message if you need a ride out. See you there! 🙂

In these times, we pray for the firefighters, people displaced from their homes and communities. Father, we come before You, and we thank You that You ARE A GOOD GOD, we thank You we can rest in who You are. We ask for RAIN to fall in all areas. We ask for safety and protection for those risking their lives in the battles of these fires and we ask for protection for people's homes, businesses and livelihoods. We ask it in the name of Jesus.

We believe in the power of prayer. Join us as we pray boldly:
• For rain to come: that the skies would open, the winds would settle, and the dry ground would be refreshed.
• For those displaced: that God would bring protection, peace, and provision to every person and family affected.
• For first responders: for wisdom, strength, safety, and endurance as they fight these fires day and night.

As we look upon what today means, as we ponder Good Friday and it's deep cost and meaning, I am reminded of The Gift we received that we didn't deserve. A broken world, who's destiny was separate from God, on a path to damnation and strife, was miraculously rescued, regardless of its past, it's history before the moment that changed it all. I can hear the echoes rattling through eternity as I am mindful of this gift. IT IS FINISHED. It echoes so loudly, yet so mercifully. These words changed our destiny from one of separation from our Creator, our Father, the God of Heaven and earth, to one that is a Living Hope in the one who gave it all. Jesus, we thank You for the Cross. We know that You bled and You died to settle the account we COULD NOT PAY. Isaiah 1:18 abounds as our inheritance the fulfillment of this promise from You, O God. You have made us white as snow.

Praise the Lord! IT IS FINISHED!
