Twenty years of faithful service. 🙏

This week, we had the privilege of celebrating Elie and Mireille Haddad as they conclude two decades of ministry with CBM.

For twenty years, they have faithfully served alongside churches and partners across the Middle East and North Africa, walking with communities through seasons of challenge, uncertainty, and hope. Their leadership, courage, compassion, and deep commitment to Christ have left a lasting impact on countless lives.

As we celebrate this milestone, we give thanks for their faithful witness and the relationships they have nurtured over the years. May God richly bless them in this new season.

Pray for healing, protection, and comfort for those affected, wisdom and strength for healthcare workers, and endurance for our CBCA brothers and sisters as they serve during this difficult time.

We join the Baptist World Alliance, the Asia Pacific Baptist Federation, and the National Council of Baptist Churches in India in grieving the tragic loss of Baptist leaders in Manipur.

As part of the global Baptist family, we stand with our brothers and sisters in India in prayer - for comfort for those mourning, healing for those injured, protection for vulnerable communities, and God’s just peace to prevail amid ongoing violence.

“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called children of God.” — Matthew 5:9

The BWA joins with Asia Pacific Baptist Federation (APBF) and the National Council of Baptist Churches in India (NCBCI) in grieving, praying, and calling for just peace in Manipur.

Today the worldwide Baptist family together with Baptists in India grieve the tragic deaths of Rev. Dr. Vumthang Sitlhou, the former General Secretary of Manipur Baptist Convention and present President of the Thadou Baptist Association India (TBAI); Rev. Kaigoulun Lhouvum, the Secretary of Finance, Youth and Music Department of TBAI; and Pastor Paogoulen Sitlhou. We continue to pray for the other leaders of TBAI who were critically injured in an ambush while traveling home after a Baptist gathering in Churachandpur, Manipur.

This past week, members of the CBM team gathered with the Canadian Foodgrains Bank Resources and Public Engagement Working Group and partners from across Canada. 🌾

As a member of the Canadian Foodgrains Bank, CBM is grateful to collaborate across denominational lines to respond to hunger, engage churches, and strengthen communities around the world.

We’re thankful for a week of rich conversation, shared learning, and renewed encouragement — a meaningful reminder that when we work together, even greater Kingdom impact is possible. 🌍
