In our culture, truth and love are being pushed as opposites - if you hold to objective truth and don't support me in 'my truth,' then you don't love me - but the truth or reality is that love and truth go hand in hand. If we love someone, we will tell them the truth because it is for their good, and we should want those who love us to tell us the truth for our good. Evil takes delight in lies, but love rejoices with the truth. So where is your heart: with evil and lies, or love and truth? Because we can't divorce truth from love or vice versa, just as we can't separate evil and lies.

We don't always know the many burdens God has taken from us, but we can experience His good and saving ways when we trust Him with the burdens we do have, allowing Him to take them from us and carry them, instead of trying to take them back. Trust Him by knowing that He is good and He wants what is best for you, and let Him carry your burdens ❤

This is not a promise that everything in our lives will be good - that we won't experience pain or hardship or sickness or anything bad - but that God will use even those bad things ultimately for our good. He may draw us nearer to Himself, cause us to trust Him more, build our character or perseverance, or any number of good things through the hard stuff, but He will use them for good, if we trust and allow Him to work through all things in our lives 🙂

What do you need Jesus to do or be for you? Be honest.
Jesus said that He is the way, the truth, and the life (John 14:6). What looks impossible to us is possible for Him. So bring your needs to Him, trust Him, and leave the results in His hands because He loves you and wants what is best for you ❤

Come Light Up the Night with us on Sat, Oct 31 from 6-8pm!

There will be carnival games, chocolate and candy prizes for everyone who plays, and a fun time for the whole family! This is a free event, parent supervision is required, and this is a family-friendly event, so no scary costumes 🙂
