On June 14th, St Martin's CWL celebrated their 60th Anniversary! 🎉Fr Christian spoke about the important role of the CWL in the Catholic Church, the parish, and the community. He blessed the CWL medals that all members received. He was also presented with the Spiritual Advisor medal. There are 4 charter members, and 3 of them were in attendance to receive their 60 year pins: Marie Stretch, Barb McIsaac, and Bernice McIsaac. Lillian Quilty was presented her medal on June 15th at The Mount.
Zita Cameron read messages from Betty Colaneri, National CWL President, and Cheryl Boom, Provincial CWL President. Zita also presented St Martin's CWL President, Colleen MacDonald, with a 60th Anniversary Certificate from the national president.
Following Mass there was a social. What a wonderful celebration!

Thursday, June 18th, members of St Martin's CWL held their annual luncheon for all women of the parish at Papa Joe's. We had a wonderful turnout and get-together. Bernice McIsaac, a long-time CWL member, was presented flowers for her recent milestone birthday.

Big things are happening at St Francis of Assisi Parish this morning!

St Francis CWL gathered this evening for our year-end potluck. Along with a delicious supper (the CWL really DOES do it best!😉) a highlight of the evening was the presentation of the Maple Leaf pin - recognizing members who have served the League in an exceptional or meritorious manner - to members Colleen McGaughey and Elaine Black. We also extended a blessing to Fr Peter in thanks for his love and care for all our members, and for his next step on the mission entrusted to him by God. God bless you, Fr Peter, and congratulations to the women of the CWL. For God and Country.
