— Prayer and fasting are not about giving up something just to suffer. They are about making room for God. When we step away from food, distractions, or habits we depend on, we begin to notice how much we truly need God.

— Fasting teaches us self-control. Prayer teaches us dependence. Together, they remind us that God is our strength, our provider, and our guide.
