Welcome to the "Season of Creation"! Each year from September 1 to October 4, the worldwide Christian family unites for a celebration of prayer and action to protect our common home. It is a special time to celebrate God as Creator, and to acknowledge that, as followers of Christ, we share a common call to care for Creation. The theme for this year’s Season of Creation is “Living Water” is based on Ezekiel 47:9,12, which offers a powerful vision of hope and healing. Set amidst exile and loss, the image of living water flowing from God’s sanctuary reveals divine healing that renews land, water, biodiversity, and human responsibility towards all of creation. The symbol depicts water flowing from the Temple of God, at first a tiny stream that grows deeper and deeper; as it does, it brings life to dead areas and restores fertility to damaged ecosystems. Through living water comes healing, but in order to receive new life, we too must step into the water and become part of God’s river of life, and also take part in the healing of creation.

...in anticipation of hearing the 'Parable of the Sower' as the Gospel reading during our service tomorrow (Sunday July 12th) at 9 AM, here is a story which is credited to Anthony de Mello, a Jesuit priest, psychotherapist, spiritual teacher, writer, and public speaker originally from India...

"A woman dreamed that she walked into a shop in the mall and, to her surprise, found God behind the counter. "What do you sell here?" she asked. "Everything your heart desires," said God. Hardly daring to believe what she was hearing, the woman decided to ask for all the best things a human being could wish for. "I want peace of mind, and love, and happiness, and wisdom, and freedom from fear," she said. Then, as an afterthought, she added, "Not just for me, but for everyone" God smiled, "I think you've got me wrong, dear," God said. "We don't sell fruits here. Only seeds.''
