Please enjoy today's worship service, with the twin themes of Asian Heritage Sunday and Trinity Sunday. (Yes, Trinity Sunday at Anjou. It's happened before!) We enjoyed 3 scripture readings today: Moses with the burning bush; an appeal to live in peace with the Trinity God; and Jesus' Great Commissioning to the 11 Apostles, sending them out to make disciples in all the world.

Rev. Read led this service. We learned about Kosuke Koyama, a Japanese survivor of WW2 who went on to become a Protestant Church theologian in the United States. Rev. Read's sermon, "Walking at the Speed of Love", encouraged us to slow down and notice things we might otherwise miss. Several of our hymns were written by Japanese people, and we had a special treat at the end with a children's song in Japanese sung by our friend Terry.

Our next in-person service will be on Sunday June 28. In the meantime, our sister church Trinity United Church Montreal will host in-person and online worship, with a different guest presider each Sunday in June.

Thanks for stopping by, go for a slow walk, and see you in June! 🚶🏻‍♀️🙏🏻🏮

Enjoy the videos and music you love, upload original content, and share it all with friends, family, and the world on YouTube.

Sunday is coming. Come to Anjou in person or online to consider the gifts of the Trinity -- the idea that God is ultimately and always relational -- which is good news for us and for the world as we seek to take steps to heal and be healed, for ourselves, others and for the earth!

As we celebrate Asian Heritage Month, come encounter the Japanese theologian Kosuke Koyama's story about how slowing down our pace of life will help us get way farther ahead as we seek God's Way.

Rev. Read leads this service. His sermon is entitled “Walking at the Speed of Love”.

Join us on Sunday May 31 at 11:00 AM -- in person, by Zoom, or by YouTube Live.

(Concerned about getting around with the Tour de l'Ile? If you are east of Pie IX, you should not run into any bikers. The Trinity-Anjou May 30 newsletter has maps and links for both car people and bus people. Or, consider surfing to church, because there are no orange cones online.)

Thanks for stopping by, and see you on Sunday! 🐲🚶🏻‍♂️🚲

Please enjoy today's worship service. Today is Good Shepherd Sunday, when we picture Jesus as a shepherd, guiding us gently through life, leading from ahead instead of pushing us from behind. It is also Vocation Sunday, a time to think about what God is calling us to do -- in our church lives, our personal lives, our work lives, etc. Rev. Read's sermon, "Called by Name – Called Through Life", touched on both of these themes and reminded us that our vocation can change during our life.

We also had a pick-up choir, with several members of Trinity's choir, to sing the offertory anthem.

Our next in-person worship service will be Trinity Sunday, May 31, at 11 AM. (Yes, Trinity Sunday at Anjou. It has happened before!) It is also the day of the Tour de l'Ile bike race -- which is not running through Anjou, but may impact your ability to get to or from church. We'll keep you posted on that. FYI there are no orange cones on Zoom or YouTube Live!

Enjoy the warm weather, and see you in May! 🐑

Sunday is coming. And it's our favorite Sunday, the last Sunday of the month -- when we offer in-person worship!

“The Lord is my shepherd.ˮ These are words that begin one of the most beautiful prayer-poems in the Bible: Psalm 23. The author of John amplifies what it can mean for us to have Jesus as shepherd -- to be called ever deeper into being ourselves, fully realized! Be it through a narrow or broad gate, come explore your call into life, service, and God's loving, shepherding grace.

Rev. Read will lead this service. His sermon is entitled “Called by Name – Called Through Lifeˮ.

Join us on Sunday April 26 at 11:00 AM -- in person, on Zoom, or on YouTube Live. See you there! 🐑
