What does it really mean to be a man of God? This Father's Day, we explored how biblical manhood isn't about dominance or self-reliance—it's about servant leadership that outlasts our lifetime.

Jesus flipped the script: "The greatest among you should be like the youngest, and the one who rules like the one who serves" (Luke 22:26). Real strength isn't found in lording power over others, but in using our God-given design to lift others up. From Jim Elliot to Martin Luther King Jr., history's greatest men changed the world not through dominance, but by prioritizing others.

Men, we're called to something greater than ourselves. Through prayer, community, and God's Word, we can leave a legacy that impacts generations. As Proverbs 11:25 reminds us: "A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." Let's be men who create order, not chaos—who serve rather than dominate.

Prayer is essential for godly manhood; men must develop consistent prayer lives for themselves and their families.

This Father’s Day, we’re setting aside the "strong and silent" stereotype to celebrate a different kind of strength. Real power isn’t about being in control—it’s about being a person of character, grace, and heart. Whether you’re a dad, a mentor, or a friend, there’s a place for you in this brotherhood.

Ecclesiastes 8:9 shows us that power used for control only leads to hurt. We’re learning how to trade "lording over" for "lifting up."

Looking back at Genesis 3:16, we acknowledge where relationships got off track and how we can lead the way in restoration and respect today.

Jesus flips the script in Luke 22:25-26. He shows us that the most influential men aren't the ones at the top of the ladder, but the ones serving those around them.

💪 This Sunday isn't just about ties and tools; it’s about the heart of a father. Join us as we honor the men in our lives and discover the freedom of leading with love.

What a fantastic weekend it was to gather for worship in the park last Sunday morning! The weather was delightful, the worship team was joyfully praising our wonderful God, and the food was absolutely delicious. A heartfelt thanks to all our teams from this past Sunday morning, especially to our crew who handled the BBQ—your efforts were greatly appreciated, even if it got a bit smoky at times. Here are some highlights from that memorable Sunday.

Join us this Sunday at Altona EMMC @ 10:30 am.
