Our purpose is to see the kingdom of God expand through sons and daughters. Jesus Christ is lifted up and honoured beyond the walls of our building as His sons and daughters reflect His love for people that they interact with on a day to day basis.

New Christian or someone renewing their faith in God? Let's journey together for the next few weeks where we can learn more about our relationship with God and others. Join us for Discipleship 101 - starting Tuesday June 2 at 7pm. We'll be meeting a t the White House. There is a book for this class which will cost $10. It's okay to show up on Tuesday and pay later if you need to.

This Sunday is Alpha Sunday where those who participated in Alpha for the past few weeks join with Encounter. There will be stories of God's work in peoples lives, an Alpha video and then it's feast time - our Koinonia luncheon. Families, please bring a casserole and a salad, singles please bring dessert.

New to Christianity and want to grow in your relationship with God but not sure how? Discipleship 101 is the next step if you've been part of Alpha or have recently come to Christ. Grow together with others in topics lie the Bible, Prayer, Identity and more. This small group begins on Tuesday June 2nd. Speak with Pastor John if you would like to join in and for additional details.

The ladies of Encounter enjoyed such a wonderful time at our Beautiful Trust day in Seagrave last weekend. We "paused" and heard all about the spiritual tools that will help us in our relationship with God and others. We ate some fabulous food (thanks Somayeh and Padmini), and just deepened relationships with one another. We shared our shoes, hugs and wisdom. Special shout outs to Milissa for opening her home to us, to the crew who put everything together (Chris Quinn, Penny Waller, Lorna McDougall and Danielle Layne), and our guest speaker Cheryl Gill!! God is working in our midst and we sense His call to press into prayer even more. Come and learn more about praying with the church body (corporate prayer) on Saturday May 30th. Please register in advance with Chris Quinn if you plan on attending.

Games night was a blast with lots of new people joining in with fun games like Ludo (self made board), Kerplunk, Ticket to Ride, Dominoes, Backgammon, Golf, Catch Phrase, Jenga, Sequence, Chess and Spoons (did we miss any)?! What was your favourite game and when should we have ANOTHER games night?
