We continue to hold indigenous people in prayer, we continue to learn truths, and we continue to seek out reconciliation

It’s been five years since the tragic discovery at the former Kamloops Indian Residential School in Tk’emlúps te Secwepemc. Children who died as a result of the residential school system are still missing, and their loved ones deserve answers.

The Residential Schools Missing Children Community Support Fund is crucial to finding those answers. On this National Day of Action, we call on the federal government to protect and sustain funding and supports for Survivors, their families and communities to bring the children home.

Through Mission and Service, something powerful has taken place the past two years: Northern Indigenous ministers have gathered for a unique retreat of healing and fellowship.

It’s an opportunity to step back from having to lead and give and step into receiving care and connection. Your gift can support them as they prepare to meet again this year.

Remind Northern Indigenous ministers that they are not alone!

Black people have played a significant role in the history of The United Church of Canada, but their stories have often gone untold. “Here from the Beginning” is an exhibition that showcases the contributions and experiences of Black people within the church, amplifying voices that have long been overshadowed by the dominant narrative. This exhibit will be at Pickering Village United Church between May 22nd and May 24th. Please check the posters for times and opportunities to visit and learn.
This is a celebration of faith, history, community and The United Church of Canada. For more information or if you have any questions, please contact .m.hull by emailing [email protected]
