Ezra 7:10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the Law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach statutes and ordinances in Israel. (NKJV)

As you go about your business for the day, take a minute or two to reflect on the above scripture. And as you do, see how a great investment it is for one to prepare their heart to seek God. A heart that has been prepared to seek God will be sensitive, obedient, humble and willing to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Not only did Ezra prepare his heart, he was ready to act out the word of God that he learnt along the way. Most of the time we get passionate about learning from God and leave it there. Only a few are fully willing to obey what the word teaches. Every act of obedience to the word has a blessing attached to it, and imagine how far you could be if you obeyed everything you know from the word and personal encounters with the Holy Spirit.

As if obeying God was not enough, the man went on to desiring others being transformed by the same word he learnt from God. Jesus gave us the great commission to "make disciples of all nations... and to teach them whatsoever He has commanded us." As a child of God, knowing God personally should never be the end of it all nor should it seem more fulfilling WITHOUT HAVING SHARED THE SAME TRUTHS that transformed your life with those that don't know that Truth.

Consequently God gave Ezra, amongst other things, wisdom, favour, promotion and spiritual insight. His desire led to God giving him more than what he desired primarily, God added more just like He did for Solomon when he only asked for wisdom to lead God's people.

Reflection: Is your heart set to seek God purely? Do you desire to obey everything He says/ teaches? Is there any area where there is no total obedience? Are you sharing His truth with those bound by the devil and the world? Are you rooted in His word?Where must you improve in your walk with Him?

Proverbs 4:18 But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more (brighter & brighter) unto the perfect day [like the sun in its full strength].

As a child of God, there are some scriptures that must become a reality over your life, and such is the verse above. Jesus said "you are the light of the world. A city set on top of a hill that cannot be hidden."

Choose to believe His word. Enforce it from the scriptures into your reality. Until all areas of your life reflect this divine truth about your life.

The enemy of light is darkness. Where there is no light darkness will prevail. But take heart because "the light shines in darkness and darkness cannot withstand it." Wherever there might be signs of darkness (ill health, mental anxieties, unstable family waters, academic failures, career stagnation, bad habits) - stand in the authority of God's word and push back darkness.

Push it back by faith confessions. Push it back by the word of God. Push it back by prayer. Push it back by being rooted in fellowship. Push it back by a lifestyle of fasting. Push it back by saturating yourself in worship. Push it back by serving faithfully.

Claim your ground. Stand in the light and as the light. Walk in the light.

THE LOVE OF GOD (AGAPE)
2 Corinthians 5:14

The love of Christ compels us, to sow seeds of love.

Without love, we are nothing. Agape is the expression of God's grace. Through the love of God, faith is strengthened and hope endures. Love is the most excellent way.

1 Corinthians 13:1–3
If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal. If I have the gift of prophecy and can understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can move mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. If I give all I possess to the poor and surrender my body to hardship, but have not love, I gain nothing.
When a believer is rooted in the love of God, they become stable, unshakable, and anchored in divine assurance. There is no uncertainty in God's love.

Perfect love casts out fear. Fear brings bo***ge, delays progress, creates anxiety, doubt, bitterness, and stagnation. The love of God removes fear and builds divine confidence in God and His Word.

The fruit and gifts of the Holy Spirit are expressed through love. Love is the character that pleases God. Without love, even great works lose their value. Choose to sow seeds of love to add value to your great works.

Love is the bond of perfection. This is love: that we lay down our lives for one another, just as Christ laid down His life for us. When we love others as ourselves, we fulfill the law of God.

Love never fails. It is patient and kind. It does not envy, does not boast, is not proud. It is not rude or self-seeking. It is not easily angered and keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.

Pursue love. Choose to sow seeds of love today where you see the lack thereof in people's lives and community.

AGAPE: THE LOVE OF GOD

Love is a Choice.

1Corinthians 13:4-8

Love is patient. Love is kind.It does not envy, It does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in envy but rejoices in truth. It always protect, always hopes, always preserves. Love never fails.

Choose to follow the way of Love.

Love is chosen, not merely felt. Love is a deliberate choice not just feelings. Love is an act of the will, not a reaction of emotion. Love is rooted in commitment not feelings.

Love is not determined by feelings or emotions. It is not about loving when you feel good or hating when you feel bad. Love is a powerful force from God beyond any state of mind or emotion, it stands above everything. According to the above scripture we learn that Love reflects through every situation always shining through. You choose to Love regardless of the circumstances. Jesus revealed a love like no other. The Scriptures declare that He loved us while we were still sinners, before we ever reached out to Him—He chose us first. With deliberate purpose, He laid down His life on the cross, offering Himself for us when we were undeserving. Nothing we did, nothing we could offer, earned this love. It is a love that saves, a love that transforms, a love that beautifies the soul—the gift of grace freely given, yet powerfully life-changing.

Love isn’t about keeping score or trading favours—it gives freely without expecting something in return. You choose to Love even when love is not reciprocated. Although Jesus loved all people, not everyone returned that love—yet He continued to love them anyway. His grace is available to everyone, and He desires that all come to salvation. With patience, He waits, showing His love by blessing both the righteous and the unrighteous alike.

Here is the principle that governs loving God's way; Love your enemies do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you… do to others as you would have them do to you (Luke 6:27-36). Jesus warns, if you love those who love you what credit is that to you?! Even sinners love those who love them. If you do good to them that do you good what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that. But love your enemies, do them good and lend them without expecting to get anything back. THEN YOUR REWARD WILL BE GREAT AND YOU WILL BE CHILDREN OF THE MOST HIGH GOD, because He is kind to the ungrateful and wicked. Be merciful as you Father is merciful.

Choose to follow the way of Love.

Teach me your way Lord, lead me in a straight path. According to the riches of your glory and your power grant me strength in my inner most being that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith that I being rooted and grounded in love may have strength to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, length, width, height and depth and to know the love of Christ that surpasses all knowledge that I may be filled with all fullness of God.
