✨ MESSAGE: WHAT KIND OF VESSEL ARE YOU IN THE HOUSE OF GOD? ✨
🎤 Preacher: Pastor Mojiwa
📖 2 Timothy 2:20-26
The Bible teaches us that in a great house there are many kinds of vessels—some made of gold, silver, wood, and clay. God uses different vessels to accomplish His purpose because they all belong to Him. 🙏
The value of a vessel is not determined by its appearance. A clay jar can carry water and be useful, while a gold vessel can remain unused. In the same way, God will not ask whether you were gold or silver; He will ask whether you were clean, available, and ready for His use. ✨
📌 It is time for us to examine ourselves and ask: What kind of vessel am I in the house of God?
The difference between vessels is not appearance—it is usefulness. The Master uses each vessel according to His purpose. 🏺
Think about the woman at the well. Because of her past, many people looked down on her. Yet after encountering Jesus Christ, she was transformed. Like clay in the hands of a potter, she was broken, reshaped, and made new. Through her testimony, an entire town came to know about Jesus. 🌿
📌 Are you willing to be broken, changed, and used by God?
📍 In God's house there are vessels of honor and vessels of dishonor.
Some vessels carry things that God hates, such as:
▪️ Pride
▪️ Deceit
▪️ Bitterness
▪️ Lust
▪️ Idolatry
Just like vessels displayed neatly on a shelf may look clean on the outside but be dirty inside, people can appear fine outwardly while carrying things that make them unusable for God's work.
💧 If a dirty vessel is used to carry clean water, the water also becomes dirty.
The question is: Are you clean enough to be used by the Master?
📍 A vessel becomes honorable through:
✨ Cleansing
True cleansing does not come through our own efforts. We need Jesus Christ. We must bring our sins into the light, confess them, and surrender everything that is not pleasing to God.
A vessel that refuses to be emptied cannot be filled.
📌 You need to be emptied in order to be filled.
Cry out to the Lord and ask Him to fill you afresh. 🙏
✨ Being Set Apart
Holiness means being set apart for God's purpose.
Sometimes we must say no to certain things, places, and even relationships. It is better to lose a friendship than to lose the goodness and presence of God in your life.
📍 Sometimes we must let go of things in order to say yes to the Master's work.
As a child of God, you are not common. You are unique, chosen, and precious. The blood of Jesus was shed for you to make you anew. ❤️
✨ Readiness
A vessel of honor must always be ready for use.
Not only when you feel like it, but at all times. We should not be controlled by our moods or feelings. God uses us because we belong to Him.
The Master decides the assignment of each vessel. A cup cannot choose to be a plate. Likewise, we do not choose our purpose—the Master does. 🏺
Be ready to serve, pray, obey, and speak the truth whenever God calls.
📍 Stop despising yourself.
Sometimes fear and insecurity make us question our worth. But God is not looking for perfect people—He is looking for willing vessels.
Return to the Lord in prayer. Avail yourself to Him and say, "Lord, here I am. Use me." 🙌
There are many vessels in the house of God. Some are visible and some are hidden. We see those who preach and lead, but we may not see those who wake up in the middle of the night to pray for others. Yet every vessel has value in the Master's house. 💖
The important question is not how visible you are, but whether you are clean, set apart, and ready for the Master's use.
🙏 May we all become vessels of honor, sanctified, useful to the Master, and prepared for every good work.
