IDOL WORSHIP

Exodus 20:1-7, Jeremiah 18:15, God hates idol worship as He stated in His word that He is jealous, He judges and punishes every person who puts an idol in His place. Branches are cut and pruned but still grows back, that is how God tried to separate humanity with idol worship. In the ancient days the Israelites would mould idols out of gold and craft some out of wood but today the blessings that the Lord has given to us are the ones that we have turned into idols.
Genesis 31:34 & 35 Rachel hid Laban's idols in a camels saddle and he failed to see them but God says He sees our idols, idols inside our minds and hearts. We have idolized worries, doubt and fear and now they are our gods, we appear before His courts with idols, instead of us offering an incense with a sweet aroma that rises to heaven it becomes an incense of bad aroma,we focus on worries than God, we don't come expecting but we are full of doubts, incense offered to idols. The bible says we should ask, we are supposed to ask with hope not with worries. Separate yourselves from idols because they bring disappointments in your lives. Failure to separate with idols ,His presence will send you out of His temple together with an idol, Christ found people trading in the temple, he overturned the tables and whipped them . God has made our bodies to be His temple and it needs to be cleansed by His word, reading much of the word and practicing it will wipe away every hidden idol in our bodies.
We have idolized our beautiful houses and cars, clothes etc, we tell people that they give us peace and we forget that peace is from God,we have placed the material things in the place of God. God destroys idols, we idolize our wives , husbands ,mothers , fathers, brothers and sisters, pastors and bosses at our work places little did we know that we are putting their lives in danger, life expectancy is reduced by praise.
When the ark of the covenant was captured by the philistines they placed it next to their idol or god but His presence destroyed their idol ,1 Samuel 5:2-4. When you are aware that you are idolized run for your life and save yourself from the anger of the Lord,rebuke your worshippers, Paul and Barnabas after healing the crippled, people wanted to make them gods, they were given names of gods, Hermes and Zeus but they tore their clothes and told the people that we are human beings like you,they feared God, Acts 14:8-13.
Herod allowed himself to be an idol and a god, after orrating on kings apparel, people compared him to God and said he sounded like a god but an angel of the Lord struck him immediately and was eaten by worms, he didn't stop people from praising him rather he enjoyed the praise, Acts 12:21-23. Fear God , don't allow yourself to be in the position of God, don't allow people to bring you to God's position for death and destruction is punishment of an idol together with idol worshippers.🔥🔥🔥
