Awakening the believerβs faith, Prophet Cedric enlightened the church by sharing, βthe reality of life is that the Heavens and the Earth will definitely pass away, but Godβs Word shall remain. When you look at the antecedents of life, you will agree that there is much evidence that the world is about to end, and it is only the Gospel of God, and those holding onto it, that will survive.
John 1:1 says, βIn the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.β This means that without the Word, there would have never been a beginning. Therefore, all other things that existed after the Word shall perish. In perilous times such as these, what is your life holding onto? Many are holding onto the material, while some live a life of deceit, but all these are bound to pass away. Woe to you who clings to anything other than the Word, which is supreme, mighty, and infinite.
The Bible says: βCursed is the one who trusts in man, who draws strength from mere flesh and whose heart turns away from the Lord. That person will be like a bush in the wastelands; they will not see prosperity when it comes. They will dwell in the parched places of the desert, in a salt land where no one lives. But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him. They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit.β [Jeremiah 17: 5 β 8]
Trust does not mean mere belief; it means total reliance on God. Do you trust in God? If so, why are you afraid of challenges? Why do you fear when you pass through trying times? Isnβt GOD your GUARD? My people, do not make the mistake of trusting in manβTRUST IN GOD ALONE!β
On a closing note, the Prophet took learning from the testimonies and revealed, βThe Gospel of Godβ Grace is a revelation. Everything that happens in it is a revelation that not only affects one, but many. In the case of marriage, it is neither how beautiful the woman or how handsome the man looks, rather how WELL the person being married is. You can only be WELL when God has touched and delivered you. This is why these days it is hard to reconcile troubled marriages. Because every marriage needs Jesus - the author of marriage and without Him, it is impossible to sustain the union.
Brethren, you ought to acknowledge that satan is on an assignment to destroy the foundation of marriage. Therefore, you must be aware of his schemes; you cannot glory in your ungodly character and easily accept it as your identity because, unbeknownst to you, you are accepting the devilβs character as your own. This destroys your marriage and life. Rather, acknowledge that you need deliverance! Because if you are not delivered from your past, you are not delivered into your future.
Do not deceive yourself by saying, βno one is perfect,β just to cover your wrong, because Matthew 5:48 says, βBe perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect.β Let us not be comfortable in our wrongdoing. Let us stop being in denial of the truth and taking life and spirituality for granted. The Bible calls for reformation of character and conduct. If not, you are going to give up on Christianity and say it does not work, and that is not the truth. Whatever God demands from us is not for His good, rather for our benefit.β
