As we continue on the topic of fasting, we look today at My Attitude When Fasting. Fasting is not to push God to do something but for us to get closer to Him. There is a war that goes on between the body and the sprirt, and fasting strengthens the spirit. The strengthening comes because you are putting away all distractions to focus solely on God.

This is when God revealed himself to Moses in one of the most bizarre signs of a burning bush and instructed him to take of his shoes because he is in the presence of God showing submission and reverence meaning when ever I feel the presence of God present I should remember to submit myself

God revealed the promise he made to rescue them from their oppressor which to me would be God speaking to situations in my life or guiding me through things I’m going through when I am with him or rather in his presence.

It reminds me that God deserves all honor, reverence, and praise. Whenever I listen to it, it helps me focus on God instead of my problems and encourages me to worship Him with humility and sincerity. The song reminds me that Jesus is King and that worship is not just about singing it is about giving Him my whole heart. It helps me be at peace amidst all my problems I just pop up the song and boom I forget everything and focus on Jesus for he is the way the truth and the life🙌🏾

Don’t let your fast be just about what you’re giving up. Let it be about who you’re drawing closer to.
