The man of God is offering prayer for those believing God for healing, deliverance, word of prophecy. Remove the filthy garments

In closing the Man of God, cites Zechariah 3:4, it highlight that there are things that we need to be totally disconnected from.

Take away the filthy garment did not mean wash but take away, remove.

β€ŽSo in your spiritual transformation you'll need to make difficult decisions, of which some will require us to sacrifice something important to us. So your obedience will be tested, if you are willing to let go of certain things when God asks you to.

In Zechariah 3:2, we see that Joshua did not fight nor justify himself when the enemy accused him. Which goes to show that sometimes it takes God's grace and mercy to escape some situations.

β€ŽSomething that can hinder us from seeing that we have filthy garments is self righteousness. Joshua the high priest stood before the presence of the Lord but didn't realize that he had filthy garments.

β€ŽSatan will always point at the garment. Satan was standing at Joshua on the right side to resist him and point out his filthy garments. This is the enemy's strategy to point out our filthy garments our secret sins. So in order to separate us from God he points out our mistakes, sins, faults, shortcomings. He uses our past to challenge our future. He reminds you of what you did, who you disappointed, the things people say about you.

β€ŽThe filthy garment represent what must be removed - shame, uncleanliness, unfaithfulness, guilt. Filthy garments represent sin and compromise. This are some of the things that the enemy uses to accuse us before the Lord and we can only counterattack the enemy's accusations by our confession. Hence why we need to learn to speak God's word over our lives. And we are able to do so through constant meditation on the Word of God, without the word we become spiritually empty making it easy for the enemy to overpower us.

β€ŽOftentimes the enemy will hold us back by bringing to remembrance our past mistakes to accuse us. The greatest battle is within our mind - thoughts, this is why the the Word of God encourages us to be transformed by the renewing of our minds. A mind that has not been transformed by God's word is easily influenced by Satan, for he will feed it with lies. Which is why it is important to meditate on God's word, the more you do so the more Satan has no hold over your mind because now you know the truth of who God says you are not false accusations from the enemy.

Understanding Filthy Garments

There's a difference between a person and what they are wearing. When we look at Zechariah 3:1 we encounter Joshua standing in presence of God, however he was wearing a filthy garment. This goes to show that the enemy can accuse you even in the presence of God.

β€ŽMany people have made mistakes, fallen, compromised , or have gone through seasons that have left them stained. But according to God's Word our failure is not our final destination or identity.

β€ŽThe devil will say look at what you have done. But God's Word says look at what I am about to make of you. Your appearance is not your true identity, you are not defined by your mistakes.
