A blessed and memorable celebration of St Alban’s Day as we gathered in faith and fellowship with members from churches of the North Archdeaconry.

The occasion was enriched by the enrobement of members of the Guild of St Mary Magdalene and the Guild of Martyr Bernard Mizeki, marking a significant milestone in their journey of service and commitment to christ, following the celebration of St Bernard Mizeki.

We were also honoured by a special Father’s Day tribute led by Rev. Fr. Callendar, celebrating and appreciating fathers for their love, guidance, sacrifice, and faithful witness within our families, church, and communities.

Ntate Banks’ sermon challenged us to be true followers of Jesus Christ, boldly spreading the Gospel through both word and action. We were reminded that as Christians, we are called to be accountable for our actions and to reflect Christ’s love in all that we do. Drawing from our Lord’s teaching on judgment, the message encouraged us not to judge others harshly, but if correction is necessary, to do so with love, grace, humility, and compassion.

We give thanks to God for a spirit-filled celebration, for the unity shared among the North Archdeaconry churches, and different local churches in Moroka and for the continued growth of His Church.

NORTH ARCHDEACONRY WORKSHOP

Today, Churchwardens, Treasurers and Secretaries from across the North Archdeaconry gathered at St Patrick Anglican Church, Francistown, for a fruitful workshop focused on strengthening church leadership, governance and stewardship.

Our presenters, Ven Banks Lesetedi, Rev. Fr Bogatsu, Rev. Fr Neo, Mr Labane Mokgosi & Kebonye Moepeng enthusiastically educated us on different roles and aspects of the church. We engaged in presentations on the duties of church leaders, Safe Church principles, financial regulations, Sunday School Rally Preparations, and elected an Archdeaconry Church Council. The workshop provided an opportunity for learning, reflection and renewed commitment to serving God’s church faithfully and effectively.

We extend our sincere appreciation to all presenters, clergy, and participants whose contributions made the workshop a success.

May the knowledge shared today continue to enrich our parishes and strengthen our ministry as we work together for the growth of God’s Kingdom in the North. Tomorrow, sithi shwiiiii to Moroka!
