THEME: THE WONDERS OF THE WORD
TITLE: COVENANT DAY OF REVELATION
Ministering: PASTOR KABELO J.THULAGANYO
The written Word is not the entirety of God's communication. God speaks to us continually, often in the simplest ways, yet many fail to recognize His voice. What may seem like ordinary thoughts can, in fact, be divine promptings. However, when the written Word dwells richly within you, it sensitizes your spirit to discern the spoken Word of God.
The written Word is the foundation upon which the spoken Word is built. Therefore, mastery of the written Word is the master key to receiving and understanding the spoken Word.
NB-What changes a person's life is the spoken Word, not merely the written Word.** The spoken Word is relevant, timely, and speaks directly to one's present situation.
Deception arises when a person is not grounded in the written Word. Therefore, continually verify every teaching against Scripture rather than depending solely on a preacher's words. Learn to value, cherish, and enjoy the written Word of God.
Spiritual maturity is demonstrated by obeying what the Word says regardless of your feelings.
โImportant Noteโ
Do not listen to everyone. Not every voice deserves your attention, and not every preacher is assigned to your life.
Scriptural References:1 Corinthians 9:2; Jeremiah 3:15
HOW TO RECEIVE THE WORD FROM GOD
1. Receive the Servants of God
Scriptural References: Matthew 10:41 (NIV); 2 Timothy 1:8
When you receive God's servants, you position yourself to receive a prophet's reward. Honouring and receiving God's messengers opens your heart to the grace and revelation they carry.
2. Believe in Their Word and Ministry
Scriptural Reference:Acts 24:14
Find a place where the Word of God is upheld without compromise and commit yourself to growing in the Word. Build yourself up spiritually so that you are prepared for eventualities and seasons of adversity.
The Word of God prepares people for life. Therefore, make the Word your priority.
Additional References:** Amos 8:11; 1 Samuel 3:1; Judges 21:25
3. Honour Spiritual Authorities
Scriptural Reference: 1Corinthians 9:8โ14 (MSG)
Believers have a responsibility to contribute to the welfare of ministers of the Gospel. Develop a personal appreciation for their labour and support them in their material needs.
Feed what is feeding you.
Every genuine ministry of the Word places a demand on those who are being nourished spiritually to communicate substance and support to the one ministering. Honour should be continual, not occasional.
4. Avoid Disconnection
Never become passive in your spiritual walk. It is possible to be physically present yet spiritually disconnected.
Disconnection often becomes evident when there are no corresponding results or growth in a person's life.
The proof of connectivity is seen in your application and demonstration of what you have been taught. As you live out the Word, you become a living testimony of its power and effectiveness.
โFinal Thoughtโ
God often responds to you according to how you respond to the spiritual authorities He has placed over your life.
