MESSAGE
There are doors we need to enter to access certain things in our lives. Some blessings, opportunities, and breakthroughs are not hanging in the open. They are behind doors. And until that door opens, you can see the thing, you can pray for the thing, but you cannot walk into the thing.
In the realms of the spirit there is what we call a portal. A portal is a place where, when you are in that place, it is easy for the heavens to access you. Think of it like a spiritual meeting point. Just like Jesus said in Matthew 6:6, "But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you." That private room becomes a portal. When you enter that place of prayer, worship, obedience, the heavens locate you faster.
Jesus also said in John 10:9, "I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved." He is the door. Without Him, every other door stays locked. But with Him, access is granted.
It is easy to pe*****te the gate but not a door. A gate is an open space but a door is specific. It has a lock and a key. That is why some people are operating in open gates but shut doors. You can have general favor, people liking you, opportunities coming around you, but the specific door to your healing, to your job, to your marriage, to your business breakthrough is still closed. Every opportunity has a door. And every door has a name on it.
Dimensions of open doors
1. The presence of God. Certain doors will not open without His presence. Doors obey people who carry God and live in righteousness. When you pray, worship, and walk in obedience, you create a portal where heaven can access you. That is why Peter’s iron gate opened after the church prayed. The presence of God was in that prayer room. Doors recognize the weight of His presence and they bow.
2. Through a key. Every door has a key, and Jesus holds it. Isaiah 22:22 says, "I will place on his shoulder the key of the house of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open." That key is authority, obedience, and prophetic instruction. Your key might be prayer at midnight, forgiveness you refuse to withhold, seed you sow, or a step of faith that makes no sense. When Jesus gives you the key, no man can lock that door again.
3. Authority over a door. Doors respond to authority. Jesus said in John 10:9, "I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved." He did not say He would beg the door. He is the door. When you are in Christ, you carry His authority. That means you do not just knock and wait. You command. Peter did not negotiate with the iron gate. The angel led him, and the gate opened by itself. When you know who you are in Christ, you speak to that door of sickness, that door of lack, that door of delay, and it obeys.
