This evening at 17h00 we celebrated the feast day of SVD at St. Benedict catholic church, Malamulele. 45 people including SVD Lay Partners attended the celebration. After mass, we moved to the hall for some refreshments.

This evening, as we prepare to celebrate the birth of our Mother Mary, we, the Divine Word Missionaries, joyfully celebrate 151 years since the foundation of our Congregation.

St. Arnold Janssen entrusted his foundation to the loving care and protection of our Mother Mary. Following his example, the members of the Botswana Province gathered virtually to pray the First Evening Prayer and to begin this special celebration, united in prayer and thanksgiving.

As we celebrate 151 years of God’s faithfulness, we entrust our mission, our communities, and our future once again to God through the maternal care of Mary.

United in prayer, united in mission, and united to God. 🙏🏽🌍

The mission of the Society of the Divine Word is deeply characterized by interculturality. Our communities are enriched by confreres from different cultures, countries, and backgrounds, united by one common vocation and mission.

Following the missionary dream of St. Arnold Janssen, we embrace our diversity as a gift and allow his spirituality to inspire us as we proclaim the Gospel and serve God’s people wherever we are called.

We are pleased to announce the appointment of our Vocational Director.

We entrust him with this important ministry of accompanying and guiding young people as they discern their vocation and respond to God’s call to missionary life.
