*Scriptures:* Romans 8:5, Galatians 5:17, Revelation 3:14

*Main Message: LIVE BY THE SPIRIT, NOT BY THE FLESH* Part ll.

1. *Spirit vs Flesh Battle*
We have one spirit, one soul and one body. The flesh and the Spirit are always in conflict - Gal 5:17.
To be close to God we must feed our spirit with the Word and do things that satisfy God.
_Romans 8:5_: Mind on flesh = death. Mind on Spirit = life and peace.
_“You cannot serve two masters”_

2. *Don't Be Lukewarm - Revelation 3:14*
God hates lukewarm Christians. _“Be either hot or cold.”_
Lukewarm is saying _“I am rich and need nothing”_ but being spiritually poor, blind and naked.
God wants zeal and commitment from His people.

3. *Accept God’s Rebuke = Love*
_“Those that I love, I will rebuke them.”_
Don’t reject correction. If you reject the rebuker you will remain in pain.
Listen to God’s voice and allow the Holy Spirit to correct you.

*Additional Instructions from the Pastor:*
- Pray for the ministry: for renewed energy, financial breakthroughs, and for colleagues/friends to be saved.
- Stop attention-seeking in church. Come to preach and live the Word.
- _“True life”_ is being nurtured by the Word of God and the influence of the Spirit.

If the Spirit of God dwells in you, you cannot walk in the flesh. Choose daily to walk in the Spirit so you can please God.

*Prayer Point:* _Lord help me to walk in the Spirit and accept Your correction._

Theme: "WALKING IN SPIRIT"
*Key Texts:* 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Galatians 5:17-23, 1 Corinthians 6:9, 1 Corinthians 6:19

God wants our *whole being* - spirit, soul and body - to be holy and controlled by the Holy Spirit. There is a daily battle between the Spirit and the flesh, and the choice we make determines whether we inherit the Kingdom of God or not.

*1. KNOW WHO YOU ARE*
- *God is Spirit* → So true worship must be *in spirit and in truth*, not just outwardly.
- We are 3 parts:
- *Spirit* - connects with God
- *Soul* - controls emotions and thoughts
- *Body* - the *temple of the Holy Spirit*. We must keep it pure.

*2. UNDERSTAND THE BATTLE*
- *The Spirit and the body are fighting each other.* Galatians 5:17
- The soul is where the battle is fought - in our thoughts and emotions.
- If we feed the flesh, we will produce sin/Fruits of the flesh: _adultery, drunkenness, etc._
- If we feed the Spirit, we will produce fruits of Spirit.

*3. CHOOSE TO BEAR GOOD FRUIT*
- *Fight for purity and sanctification* so that sin escapes from our lives.
- *Exercise the Fruits of the Spirit*: Love, Peace, Joy, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-control. Galatians 5:22-23
- *"You shall know them by their fruits."* Our life is evidence of who we are following. It is not buy talking but by the fruits we produce.
- *Purpose*: To *inherit the Kingdom of God*. 1 Corinthians 6:9

*HOW TO WIN*
1. *Feed the inner man* with the *Word of God*
2. *Fear God* and understand your identity in Him
3. *Read the Word and ACT on the Word*

*CONCLUSION / APPLICATION*
God is calling us to live holy because our body is His temple. The way we think, act, and worship shows what we are feeding between flesh & Sprit. Let us choose to walk in the Spirit daily so that we can please God and inherit His Kingdom.

_Scriptures: John 4:7-29, 2 Corinthians 3:16_

_"God is the Spirit and those who worship Him must worship in truth and in spirit."_
_"When you are in Christ the veil is taken off."_ - 2 Corinthians 3:16

In John 4, we meet the Samaritan woman at the well. She came for water, but she left with something greater. The Bible says when she met Jesus, she left her water jar, ran back to the city, and told people about Him.

That water jar represents the things we carry that keep us tied down.

*The Message*
*1. Make time to be alone with God*
To understand the Word of God better, you need to be alone with Him. Distractions will keep you from hearing Him clearly. Put aside the noise and seek His face.

*2. Leave your water jar*
You cannot preach the gospel of God while you are still attached to your water jar. That jar could be sin, excuses, comparison, old habits, or things not pleasing to God.
To serve the Lord, you need to _offload_. Stop carrying what God is calling you to lay down.

*3. Stop comparing, start seeking*
Do not make excuses for God. Stop comparing pastors and people — that is in vain. Jesus Himself is _the way, the truth, and the life_. Seek Him directly.

*4. Worship in Spirit and Truth*
When we come to Christ, the veil is taken off. We no longer worship from a distance. We worship in spirit and in truth because Jesus is the Truth Himself. Only then can we truly be His worshippers and speak His Word.

*Reflection Questions*
- What is the "water jar" in your life that God is asking you to leave?
- Are you making time to be alone with God, or are you too busy?
- Have you allowed Christ to remove the veil so you can worship freely.

1. *The Christian Battle*
When Becoming a Christian, you started a spiritual battle. Don’t give up during trials. Ask God daily for strength because He never loses. Like Peter, we must obey and not doubt, just "go" when God calls.

2. *Feeding on the Word - John 6:35*
Many followed Jesus only because He fed them physically. But Jesus is the "bread from Heaven" - true satisfaction comes from Him.
To have Christ in us and eternal life, we must "eat the word" daily. Without the Word there is no spiritual life.
*Application*: If we want to end well in heaven, we need discipline in reading and living by the Word every day until our last breath.
