*Sunday of commanding destinies*

Exodus 14:13 NIV
[13] Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again.

Moses is speaking these words of faith to the Israelites when their faith seems to be shaken.

Anything holding your destiny & life captive, the Lord is delivering you today - you shall see the salvation of the Lord.

The same God who took you out of captive from Pharaoh is the same God who will deliver you from your Goliath.

NB: The greatest weapon that the enemy use against our success is fear.
Moses is encouraging the Israelites to stand firm & see the deliverance of the Lord.

HOW TO COMMAND DESTINIES

1. *MOVE FORWARD*

Don't look back otherwise you will invite fear & loose your destiny.
Reaching Canaan isn't easy - raging seas & mountains will be encountered along the way, nevertheless don't look back just move forward.

In your promise to good health, you will encounter ill health along the way.
In your promises to abundance, you will experience lack first. In all this, DON'T LOOK BACK

2. *BE CONSISTENT IN PRAYER*
1 Kings 18 - Elijah goes up the mountain to pray for rain. He send his servant into the river to check for any sign of rain. There seems to be no sign of rain but he stood in prayer until the seventh time when a tiny cloud like a fist of man was seen in the sky - a sign of rain.

Prayer is a portal that connects you to God. Pray without getting weary, pray in & out of season. Without prayer you can't reach your destiny.

Caleb & Joshua managed to reach Canaan because they were men of prayer.

3. *Never despise small beginnings*

Appreciate the small things that God does for your life. These are the foundations of greater things.

Zechariah 4:9 NIV
[9] “The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this temple; his hands will also complete it. Then you will know that the Lord Almighty has sent me to you.

What ever you started, God will give you the grace to finish it.

Message: *which well are you drinking from?*

John 4v1 through 7

Verse 7: NIV
[7] When a Samaritan woman came to draw water, Jesus said to her, “Will you give me a drink?”

It is still possible that God can still need something from you for HIM to give you a life giving water. Because of a cup of water that she gave to Jesus, her life got saved and was delivered from her old ways.

Give something to God - offer your body as a living sacrifice so that you may recieve streams of life giving water, the water that upon receiving it, you will never thirst again.

WHICH WELL ARE YOU DRINKING FROM?

The reason you still thirst (desire canal things) is because you drink from the well of Jacob (earthly well) instead of drinking from the well of God.

If you drink from the well of God you will always be satisfied because its a stream of life giving water.

John 7:37 NIV
[37] On the last and greatest day of the festival, Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.

Seek first the Kingdom of God & its righteousness and all other things will be added unto you.

If we don't follow God in truth and spirit, we will never experience his waters. You don't need anything much to come to God but your broken heart- a heart that is ready to recieve from HIM.

Your upright spirit is what qualifies or leads you to the living water.

On her encounter with Jesus, the Samaritan woman was transformed into an evangelist - she went out preaching about Jesus Christ

There is no how you can drink from the well of God and miss an encounter with God.

HOW TO DRINK FROM THE WELL OF GOD

1. Meditate on the word of God - live according to the scriptures / have revelations from the scriptures. It is the word of God that gives us glory. Eat the scroll.

2. *Drink from the well by faith* - trust upon the Lord. Without faith you can't please God.Those who drink from the well of God are those that trust him regardless of the storms they go through.

3. Be prayerful in order to drink from the well of God. Go back to the ministry of prayer.

John 7:52 NIV
[52] They replied, “Are you from Galilee, too? Look into it, and you will find that a prophet does not come out of Galilee.”

It doesn't matter your background or where you are coming from. Your name & integrity will be restored. You are not a mistake to be born in your family but its according to the plan of God. God want to take all the glory. You are the Moses of your family. You are born to break limitations & set new records in your family.

*kinds of people that God uses to break limitations*

1. *A person with a Pure heart*

Luke 1 : 26 to 28

To restore a family, he looks for a pure soul within that family. It is not everyone that God trust with his mandate. He doesn't look at the outward appearance but the heart.

*1 Samuel 16:1, 12-13 KJV*
> *13* Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his brethren: and the Spirit of the Lord came upon David from that day forward.

David was the youngest but God anointed him as a king because of his heart.

God is looking for the purity of your heart in order for you to break limitations.
Jesus is saying to Nicodemus....What is born of flesh is flesh and what is born of spirit is spirit.

2. *God uses the rejected or despised people to break limitations*

Don't be worried about rejection from people but rather be concerned with your relationship with God.

3. *God uses people of the secret place to break limitations*

If you pray in secret place, God will respond to you openly / publicly. HE trusts people who have a secret for him.

HOW TO RECOVER WHAT HAVE BEEN STOLEN BY THE ENEMY

1. *Strengthen your faith in the Lord*

- When you go through hardships, Strengthen yourself in the Lord.

- The only place where we can get help in our desperate moments is in Christ

- *"Faith without works is dead."*

James 2:26 i
_"For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also."_

Don't worry about any giant mountain ahead of you, all you need is to have faith in the Lord.

2. *Be prayerful*
There are situations that need one to put on a garment of prayer.

Most of us have lost our garment of prayer because the enemy has stolen our prayer life.

It's time to go back to the ministry of prayer and encounter miracles and wonders. Have midnight prayers and awaken the spirit of prayer in order to recover what the enemy stole from you.

3. *Ability to hear God*
Have the ability to hear God if you want to recover what you lost.

Prayer and faith can enable us to hear from God.
- A spirit filled prayer must be followed by revelations, a sign of God's response.
- A spirit prayer must be able to calm the storms and make every power bow to your command.

4. *Be patient with the Lord*

Patience reveals deception. With Patience in the Lord, you won't be able to fall into the trap of the enemy because of desperation.

- Don't rush the process, be patient with God.

The disciples were given an instruction to tarry in Jerusalem

*Luke 24:49*
> “And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.”

*Acts 1:4-5*
> “And while staying with them he ordered them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father.

They were not given any time frame but they just had to be patient and wait for the fulfillment of the promises of the Lord.

- Just focus on the word of prophecy given to you. He is a God that never lies, he is a faithful God and knows why he is delaying the process.....
Note well: the word of God can't go back to HIM void without its fulfillment.

Many of us are products of our rushed decisions, we made wrong choices because we failed to remain patient.

BE PATIENT IN THE LORD!
