Make a Difference, Be the Difference We aren’t perfect! We number around 450 in total.

Here at Community Baptist, we are passionate about two things – God and people. We are incredibly thankful for God’s unconditional love and grace shown through Jesus, and we do our best to show people – no matter their story – this same love and grace. So we think just about everybody will find a place in our community. By God’s grace, Community Baptist has been striving to fulfil His purposes in

Toowoomba for over 140 years. Although there have been many physical changes over time, the heartbeat of our church has always been to see disciples made in our city and in the parts of the world Jesus sends us. We are a diverse community from many different cultures and countries. No two people are alike, with a rich variety of life experiences and backgrounds making up a true and living mosaic! We are understated, informal, and love a good laugh. We also know when to get serious and we aren’t afraid of hard work.

To our visitors and regulars to TCBC – Welcome!

Much of the ministry associated with any church takes place in the context of a diverse range of small groups that exist. Some of these are organised groups such as home Bible study groups, Coffee & Cards group, craft group, etc. while others are less organised ad-hoc small groups, such as personal networks, encouragement groups, Mum’s ‘n Bubs groups, blokes catching-up, etc.

As we continue with our preaching series this Sunday, we will be focussing in on the Biblical basis that guides and informs the fourth ‘vehicle’ in our TCBC 146 initiative, namely the importance of TCBC Ministry Groups aiding the fulfilment of TCBC’s vision and mission.

Have a great week! Pieter

Welcome! We are in the midst of a brief series of Biblical messages covering the ‘6 Vehicles’ listed in our TCBC ‘1.4.6’ initiative which describes TCBC as a local community of faith. ‘

One Vision, Four Values, and Six Vehicles’
(1.4.6) was introduced some years ago to serve TCBC as a guideline that outlines our church culture, as well as providing a picture of our anticipated trajectory in living out and serving in God’s mission together.

This Sunday the ‘vehicle’ of “Intentional Disciple Making” from a Biblical perspective will be covered.
it also serves to embed, encourage, and familiarise newcomers to TCBC with our ‘1.4.6’ initiative.

Have a great week! Pieter.

Thanks for coming along and being part of the TCBC – Welcome!

In life, ‘vehicles’ are used to shift us from one position toward an anticipated position.

At TCBC we have our biblically-based ‘1.4.6’ initiative representing ‘One Vision, Four Values, and Six Vehicles’ introduced some years ago as a guideline outlining our church culture as a local community of faith and also providing a picture of our anticipated trajectory in living out and serving in God’s mission together.

With many newcomers to TCBC since ‘1.4.6’ was initially launched, this Sunday we will commence with a fresh series of messages to help embed, encourage, and remind us of the remaining five vehicles.

Proverbs 15:29 will be a key verse this Sunday as we explore the first vehicle, namely that of the importance in “Prayer.”

Have a great week! Pieter

Welcome to one and all...especially to all the Mums as we celebrate Mother’s Day!

We want to express our thanks and appreciation to our Mums today for all that you are and for all that you do.
You are a blessing from the Lord to us! At this time, we also acknowledge that Mother’s Day can be a sensitive time for some of our ladies due to various reasons, and we ask the Lord to be your strength and comfort in this time.

Our associate pastor, Matt Munro, will be speaking this Sunday on the theme of Mother’s Day.

We are excited to also be celebrating with two Ladies as they declare their faith in Jesus Christ publicly this Sunday – be sure to be praying for them as they take this important step in their spiritual growth.

Have a great week! Pieter

Welcome.
This weekend is the annual Labour Day long weekend and while we enjoy the public holiday, it is a great opportunity to recognise and express our appreciation to the Lord for the gift of work from the beginning of time.
A test of our gratitude to the Lord in us being able to receive a source of income is found in our generosity and willingness to give back to the Lord’s body (church), and in supporting His kingdom purposes.
This week we will be taking a closer look at some Biblical principles from the Book of Malachi in Chapter 3 and other references that will hopefully enlighten our perspectives toward giving back to the Lord in appreciation for the blessings that He bestows on us.
Have a great week!
Pieter

“Let’s fix in 2026!” - Based on Hebrews 12:1-2 ...
This is the theme for TCBC in 2026.
We will be directed towards a greater sense of “fixating” and “focussing” on a deeper walk and sensitivity to Jesus as Lord of our lives.
Pray for a renewed focus and sense of God’s direction, His guidance, His peace, His presence, His power, His protection, and His provision to be at work in and through our lives and church.

Welcome to TCBC!

With so much upheaval and uncertainty happening in the world, which then has had a flow-on impact upon us here in Queensland.

We will be looking at Psalm 121 this Sunday as a reminder of the Lord’s goodness and faithfulness to us even when things around us seem to make no sense.

Have a great week!
Pieter.
