We'd love for you to join us this Easter Weekend

This Easter, we explore the depth of God’s love through the imagery of a feast. On Good Friday, we reflect on the cost of the cross; how Jesus’ sacrifice invites us into forgiveness, protection, and connection with God. On Easter Sunday, we celebrate the joy of the resurrection, the feast of new life, and the hope we have in Christ.

Calibration Sunday is an invitation to stop and rest in God.

This is a time to practice Sabbath - to step away from the busyness of life, resist the urge to catch up on tasks, and simply lean on God for renewal. It’s a moment to enjoy His goodness in quiet, reflection, and spiritual refreshment.

New series starts tomorrow!

Jesus’ relationship with His audience reveals so much about His mission. As we read the Gospels, we don’t just encounter the story of His life and ministry, we also witness how people responded.

The reactions of the crowds aren’t just background details - they invite us to self-examination and challenge how we understand what Jesus came to do.
Join us for a two-part series exploring this dynamic and discovering more of who God is, and what it means to be called into freedom and fullness.

WE'RE BACK! Fellowship Sunday will be held at the park tomorrow ☀️

At Maylands we believe church is a people, not a place. Our Fellowship Sunday's are a great way to connect and catch up outside of our usual setting.

Remember to bring something to sit on and if possible, a plate to share 🙂

"You are the salt of the earth"
"You are the light of the world"
"They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world."

With these 3 statements, it was clear that Jesus always intended his Church to exist in the context of an existing worldly culture. The Church has always had to prayerfully navigate God-honouring ways of adapting to the ever-changing culture so that followers of Jesus could be "in the world and not of the world." It can be very easy to get caught and swept into the wave of cultural shifts. As followers of Jesus, it's important we do our best to move forward in ways that honour God.

Join us in this next series as we look at some "handles" to grip to during societal shifts.

Though often overlooked, these powerful writings speak with poetic depth, raw honesty, and profound hope. They remind us that God’s messengers call not only the mind to faithfulness, but also the heart.

At Maylands we strongly believe that church is a people, not a place. Our Fellowship Sundays focus on relationships and building authentic love and unity with one another.

Due to the weather forecast, we will gather at the church building tomorrow. If possible, please bring along some food or drink to share.

Bonus – It’s Father’s Day so we will have some special additions to bless the dads!

REST, RENEW & RE-CALIBRATE

Calibration Sundays are dedicated to spiritual rest. We encourage everyone intentionally use these days to stop, and to lean on God for renewal and enjoy His goodness in the quiet.

There will be no service tomorrow but we're looking forward to seeing you again the following week at the building.

Church isn't just where we meet - it's who we are.

We're called together by God to love deeply, live authentically, and worship beyond a building. Join us tomorrow, 10am at the church building for a great morning of fellowship. If possible, please bring a plate to share.

Church is people, not a place.
We recognise that church is a gathering of people called by God, filled with the Holy Spirit, and unified in Christ. Our church is only as healthy as the people in the church are. Quality is good but authenticity is much better, and we want to build authentic love and unity together. Our gathering is an act of worship that is not limited to a building or a service.

One of the ways we live this out is “fellowship Sundays”, so grab your picnic blanket and some nibbles to share, and we’ll see you down there!
