This Sunday, we’re gathering to hear from Luke’s Gospel, where Jesus reveals his divine glory. Jesus gives his disciples a preview of the end — his final glory — the glory to which the Old Testament and God’s plans have always been pointing. Jesus is evidence that God has not been silent, that he wants all people to know him and his saving plan. So it’s no wonder God says: “This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him.” (Luke 9:35)

In Jesus, God tells us plainly what he’s been doing, what happens next, and what to do now. The question is, are you willing to listen?

We’d love you to join us.

If you can see that people have a desire to belong to something bigger than themselves, then you already know something of church worship. In our services, we remember that we can belong to God, the maker and creator of the world, through his Son, Jesus.

“If I find in myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world.” — C. S. Lewis

Our services are public, and everyone is welcome to come and hear what Jesus has to say to us today. The fellowship is warm, and we would be thrilled to have you join us.

Sunday 10am and 6pm.

Playtime is on again today! Playtime is held weekly through school term at the Anglican Church and is coordinated by our Women's Ministry Team. Playtime is for preschool age children and their parent/carer. Adults can enjoy a hot drink and morning tea while the littlies enjoy free play in the hall or the yard. At approximately 10.15 we will play the pack away song and the children will sit down to have some fruit for morning tea. Finally, with Tiny Teddy's in hand, the children (and parents) listen to a story or two on the mat before we hop up and sing and dance together before singing the goodbye song to one another at around 11am. You are welcome to join us at anytime throughout the morning and as many Tuesdays through the term as suits you. We recognise that routine can be difficult at this age and we want it work for you and your little one. All Welcome. We'd love to meet you.

Join us tomorrow for a bacon and egg roll, good coffee and warm fellowship at 8:30am before our 10am service. Just as Jesus welcomed anyone to hear him, so all are welcome to join us on Sunday.

If you can see people have unique and different backgrounds and that we all share the same suburbs and streets. Then you know something of church. People from different backgrounds coming together through the shared word and work of Jesus. Don’t be a stranger, we’d love to meet you and to help you meet Jesus.

Our bodies need all its different limbs working together to walk, jump and run. Giving thanks for the many different people who serve to see Christ’s body grow and move here at Helensburgh Stanwell Park Anglican. Looking forward to joining together with all the other limbs this Sunday (1 Cor 12:12-27).

A great benefit of the book of Psalms is we see the people of God go through all kinds of experiences in life with a faithful God in prayers and songs. On Sunday we consider Psalm 69 where suffering, security and salvation all go hand in hand with God’s suffering King Jesus. It might seem strange, but it’s through the suffering of God’s son we see the great security and salvation God offers.

On Sunday those who went to LiT shared the encouragement, training and strengthening they received, to the sponsors in our church who supported them to go. What a gift it is to see the body of Christ in action.
