MONDAY 9 NOVEMBER, 2026, 6.30PM - SAVE THE DATE Dear Members/friends, following submission of our request for a Special Electors Meeting we have been advised our signatories were validated and the Mayor has called a special meeting set for Monday 9 November 2026, commencing at 6.30pm at Midland Town Hall.

The format will include questions from the floor before the proposed motion is debated and put. It will be necessary for us and other Midland Guildford Ward community groups to ensure strong community attendance if we are to convince the City the current
ward boundary review and representation draft needs to go back to the drawing board.

The fact that none of the three options in the review include retention of three Midland Guildford Ward Councillors is concerning and unsatisfactory. The draft also contained errors and retrospective corrections cannot overcome the flaws evidenced and potential bias which emerged from these errors.

Getting more than 400 signatures to support this was a great achievement - we just need to keep our foot on the pedal to ensure a more equitable outcome for Midland Guildford residents. So please mark your calendars - it is important we have a strong showing.
