Hi there! Would you like to win $300? There's four prizes up for grabs and we'd love to get more entries in for the 2026 Upcycling Award.

Please see the details below on how to enter:

If you love to create, live in Victoria and want to help our planet, this is the competition for you.

There are four prizes of $300!!!

This competition is open to Victorian's of all ages. It's open to individuals only and must be something made from items destined for landfill.

We'd like you to upcycle something into something else.

There are three categories to help guide you:

- most innovative idea
- reduces the amount going to landfill
- most artistic
- reduces textile waste

Start getting your thinking caps on and get making!

The competition closes Saturday 28 November at 4pm and you must be able to bring your entry into The Good Op Shop (and collect it), at 4 Lewis Drive Castlemaine.

Judging will take place in December.

So great to be a part of this gathering to talk about textile initiatives underway in our community and what we could do in the future. It will be small steps, but it's always more fun and more effective to do things together.

Hi there, we're open for donations again. But we may need to close it on and off to keep everyone safe from trip hazards and just too much stuff around. Please bear with us. And please keep coming in to buy secondhand first. We're open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 10am to 4pm at 4 Lewis Drive Castlemaine.

Today is World Op Shop Day! My fantastic volunteer, Lynette, set up a little rack at Park Run to sell sports clothes. What a legend!

Get yourself to an op shop ASAP and buy secondhand first.
