Day 35!

Tim and Karen are the Corps Officers here in Caloundra. “This is a great community and we love being a part of it. The need is great, but the hope is real. Local hope givers, like our staff and volunteers, really do make a difference.”

Day #32 - Barry

Yes, it’s June already, and we had intended to just post for the month of May, but we still have a few more local hope-givers to go!

Barry moved to Caloundra a few years ago now and has become part of the Caloundra Salvos family. Barry has helped with collecting out at Pelican Waters, and cheerfully greeting all those who walked by. But he can be often found singing on a Sunday morning at church and through the week, he enjoys the company of others and shares God’s love for them. 💕

Join Barry and bring hope to a local family or individual by donating to the Salvation Army’s Red Shield Appeal for 2026!

Join James and Jan in becoming a local hope-giver.

Day #30 - For many years Jean worked with women and children who were needing support to start afresh after escaping from Domestic Violence situations. Jean is still passionate about seeking justice for all people, and protecting those who are most vulnerable.

Jean is pictured here with Major Cecil Woodward, now retired, but still taking an active role in seeing our church play a part in meeting the needs of the least, the last and the lost in our community.

Join us in bringing hope to this local community and delivering practical support where it’s needed most.

Day 29 - George and Maureen continue to share hope with the community and they don’t let a little thing like “age” get in the way! They certainly know what a difference it makes to hold onto hope, even when times are difficult.

Join George and Maureen in being local hope-givers!
