Winter is arriving at Nan Tien.

The trees along the hill walking path are almost bare, holding onto just a few of their final autumn leaves. Against the winter sky, they offer a beautiful reminder of impermanence.

In Buddhism, winter symbolises stillness, reflection, and letting go. Like the trees shedding their leaves, we can use this season to release what no longer serves us and cultivate inner peace.

Take a mindful walk and experience the quiet beauty of winter at Nan Tien.

Have you sounded the Nan Tien Gratitude Bell? 🔔

A beloved feature of the Temple grounds, the Gratitude Bell invites visitors of all ages to pause, reflect, and express gratitude for their parents, ancestors, and loved ones.

Engraved with the Sutra of Filial Piety, the bell’s resonant chime carries across the Temple, spreading peace, gratitude, and light.

🔔 Gatha of the Bell 🔔

The sound of the bell
troubles dissipate
Wisdom grows, bodhi bloom
Parting from hell beyond the fiery pit
May I be awakened for all sentient beings.

We invite you to visit the Temple and sound the Gratitude Bell. May its gentle echoes bring peace, gratitude, and wisdom to all who hear it.

🐘 A Gift for Buddha's Birthday | New Children's Book Launch 🎊

📅 Today, on the 8th day of the 4th lunar month—Buddha’s Birthday—Nan Tien Temple joyfully hosted the highly anticipated book launch of 《Seeking Treasure with Bodhi》, celebrating this sacred day with families and children!

🌟 Over two thousand years ago, Prince Siddhartha was born into the world, eventually becoming the Buddha and bringing the light of purity and awakening to humanity.

🌱 More than two thousand years later, the launch of 《Seeking Treasure with Bodhi》 at Nan Tien Temple plants the seeds of the Three Acts of Goodness in young hearts, blossoming into a vibrant future.

💖 While the bustle and worries of the world are inevitable, equipping children with meditation and mindfulness helps them move forward courageously, facing life with kindness and building good affinities.

📖 A heartfelt thank you to all the families who attended today. Together with author Karen Hendriks Children's Author, we stepped into the journey of Bodhi the elephant, realizing that inner peace and goodness are the most precious gifts of all.

📸 Let’s look back at these joyful moments from today!
