This Sunday at Church on the Rise we are looking forward to a great day in the House on Pentecost Sunday.
Pentecost was not just a moment it was a movement.

Easter was the moment Christ rose.Pentecost was the moment the Church rose in power. The Holy Spirit came not simply to give us an experience, but to equip us to live on mission for the cause of Christ. This Sunday at Church on the Rise we are so excited to hear from Rachael as she brings the Word in a full sermon for the first time.

Rachael is a valued part of our Ministry Team, and over the years she has faithfully shared around communion, service MC and tag-team preaching, with wisdom, authenticity, and heart. This Sunday she steps into a new moment, and we believe God has placed something powerful on her heart for our church.

Come expectant. Come ready for the presence of God, the truth of His Word, and a fresh encouragement for your faith journey.

For those who have experienced loss, separation, or difficulty in conceiving, our prayer is for the comfort of the Holy Spirit and the grace of God to carry you.

To every mother, step mother, and mother figure we celebrate and honour you.Thank you for who you are, for the love you give, and for the lives you impact.You mean the world to us.

Cross — Sacrifice

The cross looked like defeat…
A beaten Saviour.
A public ex*****on.
Hope seemingly silenced.

But heaven saw something different.

This was not the end—
this was the turning point.

Jesus didn’t lose His life…
He gave it.

And with one declaration,
everything changed:

“It is finished.” John 19:30

Sin paid for. Debt cancelled. Access restored.

And now this is what it means for us:
No more striving to earn what has already been given.
No more living under the weight of what He already carried.
No more separation—we have access to the Father.

We are forgiven. We are free. We are made new.

What looked like defeat became the greatest victory the world has ever seen and we now live in the power of that victory.

The King wore a crown… not of gold, but of thorns.

Pain pressed in. Mockery spoken out. Suffering on display.

And yet—He endured. Not because He had to… but because He chose to.

What was meant to shame Him became the very thing that saved us.

“They twisted a crown of thorns and put it on His head.” — John 19:2

He carried what we couldn’t
so we could receive what we don’t deserve. Grace and forgiveness like we have never known.
