Surah Ash-Shams (The Sun) – Chapter 91 of the Holy Quran
Surah Ash-Shams is a powerful Makkan surah consisting of 15 verses. Allah begins this surah with a series of oaths by the sun, moon, day, night, sky, earth, and the human soul. The central message is that true success belongs to the one who purifies their soul, while failure belongs to the one who corrupts it. The surah concludes with the story of the people of Thamud as a warning against arrogance and rejecting divine guidance.
