DANEM OUTREACH SERVICE, GRADE COMPOUND, NYABIRA, ZIMBABWE 14.11.21

Today DANEM Ministries took the gospel to the people when we held an Outreach Sunday Service at Grade Compound in Nyabira. Mwari vataura neizwi ravo. This is part of DANEM Ministry's mission in complying with our Lord's Great Commission. The Holy Spirit worked His way through the people in that open air service in broad daylight. This is just but the beginning of a great revival. We will be taking our Sunday services across all Nyabira Compounds like Chidaz, Sunnyside, Blackdawn and others. The working of the Lord is amazing. CONSCIENTIOUSNESS AND DILIGENCE

Genesis 1 v 26, “Then God said, let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness...”

To understand God, we need look no further than men in as far as the Devine purpose was concerned. This verse goes on to explain that men was created to have dominion over creation. God has the ability to create and He passed on the same excellence and creativity to men. The reason why men could land on the moon and make all the marvelous technological inventions is not because he is clever but simply because God bequeathed some of His ability to create to men.

Coming closer home this means God instilled something in you or bequeathed you some talent or gift (Proverbs 18 v 16). The world is full of men and women of great exploits, who have broken new ground and changed the world or life as we know it for good. In biblical times the power of invention was exhibited through the first architect and builder of cities, Cain, and the tower of Babel story when bricks and tar were invented. In the recent times we can talk about the Wright brothers and their absurd attempt to fly, Edison and his discovery of electricity. In modern times, we have the Bezos, Zuckerbergs and Gates’ of this world. But there are millions that go to their grave without finding their life’s purpose.

The only difference between these two groups of people is that the successful ones learned the art of fully deploying their potential or the gifts God put inside them. You will need to explore what God put in you and exploit it by investing in developing yourself and preparing yourself for the big league. Someone once said, living to make impact is more fulfilling than living to make loads of money. We see it when men who spent all their life making money suddenly decide to give it all away. This shows that there is no satisfaction in money itself and that you can be a billionaire but still remain empty inside of you which is what matter most.

It is important for you to keep your spiritual life hot and attend to Kingdom matters regularly in your life. You can unleash your potential through conscientiousness and diligence to both the glory of God and for the benefit of mankind. Release the spirit of excellence in you!

SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES, DIFFERENT DESTINIES

Luke 23 v 32-33; 39-43
32 Two other men, both criminals, were also led out with him to be executed. 33 When they came to the place called the Skull, they crucified him there, along with the criminals—one on his right, the other on his left.
39 One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: “Aren’t you the Messiah? Save yourself and us!” 40 But the other criminal rebuked him. “Don’t you fear God,” he said, “since you are under the same sentence? 41 We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong.” 42 Then he said, “Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom.” 43 Jesus answered him, “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.”

Three people were crucified at the same time meaning same circumstances, at least in the eyes of ordinary bystanders. One of them, Jesus of Nazareth was hundred percent innocent. The other two were convicted thieves which means they were hundred percent guilty. For the Jews crucifying Jesus while he was sandwiched by criminals gave them satisfaction and may have been for them a surrogate for expression of his “guilt” by association since they had failed to prove this outrightly before Pontius Pilate. But the reality of the situation was that Jesus’ crucifixion was a fulfillment of a prophecy from back in the days by men of old who foretold about his entire journey from the manger to the cross. It was a fulfilment of God’s love for the fallen mankind which led Him to send His one and only begotten son for the atonement of men’s sins. And for Jesus, it was the epitome of obedience that even though he was God he obeyed his Father to become man and to die on the cross so that his spotless blood could cleanse away man’s sins. At the other level, one of the criminals may have felt his circumstances and Jesus were similar and he chose to insult Jesus wondering why Jesus was not saving himself and them if he was the true Messiah. Clearly, he was mistaken because the Messiah’s purpose was never to save Himself! By choosing to insult Jesus, he confirmed his condemnation in these last moments. The other criminal knew exactly who Jesus was and that while they were in the same circumstances with Jesus, they had different destinies. By his choice, he changed his destination from hell fire to paradise. The take away here is that you may be in similar circumstances with others or have the same opportunities but your choices will determine your final destiny. Your salvation entirely depends on how responsive you are to God’s saving grace through our Lord Jesus Christ. SIMILAR CIRCUMSTANCES, SAME OPPORTUNITY, DIFFERENT CHOICES, DIFFERENT DESTINIES.

FROM BASTARD TO APOSTLE

Thank you my family for the birthday, good health and long life wishes. I received the blessings with both hands and with humility. I count myself truly privileged to have such a loving and wonderful family. Some say age aint nothing but a number. If you say that you haven’t found the real purpose in your life. Some feel entitled to life and growing up, I am not one of those either. It maybe taboo for most people to disclose their age these days. But these 47 years

I have seen and been through a lot. It have lived a ‘blended life” whose highlights are:
•>>Being born under the least “ideal” circumstances
•>>Enduring nomadic formative years and an extremely tough childhood
•>>Graduating into an outstanding and fulfilling academic and professional career
•>>Becoming a private sector executive at 24
•>>Joining the international development sector 2 decades ago
•>>Being on flights approaching 4 digit number
•>>Travelling to more than 40 countries and over 100 cities worldwide
•>>Living in 6 countries on 3 continents
•>>Becoming an entrepreneur at 27
•>>Talk about pleasure, takambosasana kana kudya nyika rutivi (my native Karanga for having experienced all vices in the name of seeking happiness)
•>>Bing blessed with beautiful and super intelligent boys and girls some of whom are, just like daddy, ready to conquer the world.
•>>Receiving my call to Apostle 5 years ago.

It was then that I realised that God had allowed the ugly, the bad and the good all to happen to me because he had a purpose for it. I saw that instead of hiding my challenges and blessings from people, I should be using them to preach and to testify about God's greatness! God has blessed me with 47 years of life where I have transitioned from not enough, to just enough to more than enough and I look forward to at least another 47 years because I am not cursed! Untimely death shall never be my portion.

With each year that the Lord adds to my life, I realise that it is to give me more time to reach more souls and to change more lives. And I will do just that only for his honour and glory. I have realised that nothing gives me comfort, peace and a sense of renewed purpose than holding that mic behind the pulpit. Standing on the alter and preaching and teaching God’s word with power and prophesy into people lives at Disciples of All Nations Evangelistic Ministry (DANEM), those nights well spent in the mountains just praising and worshipping God Almighty has been a humble, fulfilling and most rewarding experience of my lifetime. When my DANEN Fellowship family were all saying “Happy Birthday Daddy” as if it was a competition, it simply felt surreal. I felt like a true super daddy!

They say a picture is worth a thousand words. As I look at where I am, I am amazed at God's ability to turn a life. The first picture I have shared with you is my most valuable picture of my lifetime and indeed an extraordinary testimony in itself. It tells a remarkable life story of who I was before I became who I am today. I have testified about my difficult life from being born of unmarried parents and challenging upbringing of being raised up by different relatives and being shipped from one household to another throughout my formative years. There is a God who looks closely upon our lives and with great love and interest. Ichokwadi kuti anosimudza rombe muguruva agorigarisa patafura namachinda. 1 Sam 2 v 8. This God raised me from helplessness to hope, from a nonentity to an entity, from a bastard to an Apostle. And that is why I have entrusted Him with my entire life and have decided to serve Him for as long as I live. You should too!

Today, I declare that not your circumstances of birth, not your lack of education, not any of life’s challenges or indeed anything will stop you from realising God's purpose in your life! (Jer 1 v 5; 29 v 11). I decree that you will have a full life span of 70, 80 with strength and even 90 or 100 with grace!
Isaiah 65:20 “No longer will there be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who does not live out his days; for the youth will die at the age of one hundred and the one who does not reach the age of one hundred will be thought accursed."

DANEM DOSE OF THE WORD

FATHERHOOD
Scripture: Psalm 103:6-14

Like as a father pitieth his children, so the Lord pitieth them that fear him. [Psalm 103:13]

Any calling of ministry, pastors, apostles, teachers and evangelists, can take on the mantle of fatherhood and it adds an extra dimension of love to whichever calling you have been blessed with.
Unfortunately, many men of God - pastors, apostles, teachers and evangelists - are not fathers but of course there are some who are fathers.

What sets a father apart is the ability to produce offspring - sons and daughters – who will go on to bless the ministry or even to succeed them. Age is not to be mistaken for the fundamental sign of a father, old age must not be equated to fatherhood. Most renowned men of God became fathers whilst in their youth and in their twenties or thirties well before they were even biological fathers! It is true that the art (and science) of fathering is advanced and perfected with age.

A clear illustration of the reality of fatherhood can be drawn from the lives of two Old Testament prophets, Elijah and Elisha. Elisha had a double anointing of Elijah, but he fathered no one and had no successor in ministry. Elijah promoted the son God gave him (Elisha) but Elisha cursed Gehazi the one son God gave him (2 Kings 5:25-27). The result was that Gehazi ended up with leprosy instead of becoming Elisha’s successor in ministry! Elisha had no time or patience with children as he cursed some of them for laughing at him (2 Kings 2:23-25) when it is a known fact that children laugh at people all the time. Being a hugely anointed man of God is no sign of fatherhood either. Elisha performed a lot of wonderful miracles but the double portion of anointing on his life didn’t leave him anywhere near being a father!

ALWAYS SEEK GOD'S OPINION FIRST

Is anyone among you in trouble? Let them pray. James 5 v 14

When we meet problems in life, because of our unbelief, we seek for quick fixes everywhere. We do not wait even a moment to seek God's opinion. We are overcome with fear, yet the Bible assures us that God does not give us a spirit of fear but of power and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). The solutions to our problems do not lie with family, friends or relatives. The solution to our health problems does not lie with the best healthcare systems, hospitals, doctors, surgeons or in the world. That is why people go overseas for treatment and come back in coffins. That is why COVID-19 has killed more people in USA than the entire African continent. The solution to your problems lies as close as the distance between your knees and the floor - praying. Oftentimes we do things we are not even supposed to do because we simply do not seek God's opinion first and we are desperate. Nothing ever succeeds if it is outside God's will.

Fasting: Meaning and Importance
Main Scriptures: Mat 17 v 20-21

Minister Dr. Muravu will share on the meaning and importance of fasting in a Christian’s life. This is a broad but rarely discussed subject and would take us years to exhaust if we can exhaust it at all. Our study today will concentrate on key aspects on the subject that we are expected to know as Christians. We will talk about:

1) The Threefold Cord of a Christian’s Life (Eccl 4 v 12).
In the Beatitudes (Mat 6) Jesus gave a pattern of life that’s expected of each one of us to live as a child of God. Jesus highlighted the 3 specific duties of a Christian which are: giving, praying and fasting. Where do we get this from?

“When you fast...” Ma 6 v 16

2) What is fasting?
First by defining what biblical fasting is NOT before zeroing in on what it actually is.

3) Dethroning King Stomach
Examples of people who failed to dethrone King Stomach with disastrous consequences
1. Gen 2 v 8-9, 16-17 (The first sin)
2. Ez. 16 v 49-50 (S***m and Gomorrah destroyed)
3. Gen 25 v 14; Heb 12 v 15-17 (Esau sold his birthright)
4. Num 11 v 4-7 (Israelites despised mana for what they ate in Egypt)
Therefore, King Stomach must be dethroned for us to achieve certain things in life.

4) Fasting with Positive Results in the Bible
The following are examples of people who fasted in the Bible with positive results
1. The Lord Jesus fasted for 40 days and forty nights before he was tempted by the devil and in preparation for his ministry (Mat 4 v 1-11
2. God delights in giving rewards when you give, pray and fast (Mat 5 v 6)
3. Daniel fasted in Babylonian captivity and was rewarded by God with unparalleled Wisdom throughout the empire (Daniel 6 v 1-4; Daniel 10).
4. Moses fasted forty days and received the ten commandments (Ex 34 v 27-28)
5. Esther called the Jews to join her in a 3-day fast when Haman ordered the annihilation and plunder of Jews (Es 4-7), the Jews were spared, and Haman perished in his own gallows.
6. Hanna “wept and did not eat” when she could not bear a child (1 Sam 1 v 7) and God heard her, and the prophet Samuel was born.
7. Jehoshaphat, in the face of certain annihilation from a powerful enemy army sought the Lord’s intervention by proclaiming a fast throughout Judah (2 Chr v 20, 3-4,13, 15,17). They Lord delivered them, and they didn’t even need to fight.
8. Other examples of notable fasts in the Bible include Elijah (2 Kings), Judah, Ezrah, the people of Nineveh (Jon 3 v 5), Nehemiah, David, Solomon (1 Kings 3 v 10-13), and Anna

5) What fasting can achieve for you
i) Some “promised lands” and “promises” God made for you can only be realised through fasting.
ii) Fasting helps you to release the principle of Mat 6 v 33 “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and His righteousness and ALL THESE THINGS shall be added unto you”.
iii) Fasting causes God to target your children and brings health and healing to your body, financial prosperity and the blessings of God.
iv) Fasting will break poverty from your life.
v) Fasting will make the Lord guide you continually (Isa 30 v 21).
vi) Fasting helps lay the spiritual foundation that will affect you and future generations (Isa 58 v 12)
vii) It will end the demonic attacks on your family.
viii) It can break generational curses.
ix) Fasting will help you identify areas of hidden sin in your life (John 17 v 16-19)
x) Fasting is an excellent way of sanctifying yourself (Lev 11 v 44)
xi) Fasting is a great weapon no wonder the devil wants fasting to remain the best secret in the kingdom.

JESUS CHRIST...THE ETERNAL SPRING OF WATER

A Psalm of David when he was in the wilderness of Judah. O God, You are my God; Early will I seek You; My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land Where there is no water. Psalm 63:1 (NKJV)

Water is used here as a symbol of salvation
-He is the eternal spring of water, a well of water springing up to eternal life (John 4:13-14; John 7:37) or waters everyone who is thirsty should come to (Isaiah 55:1), the spring of the water of life (Revelation 21:6; 22:17), the spring of salvation (Isaiah 12:3)
-He is the source (fountain) of living waters (Zechariah 14:8; Jeremiah 2:13; 17:13)
-He leads us to the springs of water (Isaiah 49:10)
-He will walk us by the streams of water (Jeremiah 31:9)
-We shall be like trees (firmly) planted by the (streams of) water (Jeremiah 17:8; Psalm 1:3)
-He brought water out of the rocks for Israelites to drink at Horeb (Exodus 17:1-7) and again in the wilderness of Zin at Kadesh (Numbers 20:1-11).

CONFESSION OF FAITH

Lord Jesus, I come to you. I confess my sins. I have sinned against you knowingly and unknowingly. I was born in sin and I sinned in my thoughts, speech and actions. Forgive me of my sins. Come into my heart. Wash me in your blood. From now on I want to live in you and live only for you. I'm completely yours now. I no longer want to live my old life. Let me always hear your voice, obey you, have faith and be righteous in you. Send your Holy Spirit to dwell in me from now on and forever. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
