Sermon: Reverend Mutidzawanda
Scripture : 2 Kings 6vs 1-5
Theme: Know who to invite for you do not know what might happen.
The sons of the prophets realising that the place where they dwelt with the man of God Elisha was too small, they invited him to the Jordan so that each could take a beam from there and make a place where they might dwell. The unforseen happened and one lost a borrowed axe in the river. Elisha came to his rescue and recovered the axe.
The marriage officer shared the lessons that he drew from the scripture with 6 basic rules of successful marriage .
Among them:
1. Prayer, knowing that marriage is not static needs God's guidance
2. Power of agreement, unity of vision, family values and Unity.
3. Personal responsibility of each partner- play your part.
4. Building together-growth
5.Anticipate Challenges and face them together. Take problems to Christ.
6. Conflict resolution- solve problems amicably .
Mr and Mrs Kanuhwa beamed with joy as they showed off their ringed fingers and also received their marriage certificate from the two pastors' wives.
