*TO BE IN THAT NUMBER*

*Matthew 24*

_13 But the person who endures to the end will be saved._
_14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”_

Good day brethren. May God's grace be with you as it was with Israel in Goshen during the great plagues before their evacuation from Egypt. Amen.

*1. The Search for Peace*

The whole earth is stubbornly refusing to be established in peace and prosperity. If it is not human activities, then it is the so-called natural disasters which come to shake, trouble kill and destroy.

At present, our prayers are with the people of Turkey and Syria where more 25,000 people have lost their lives in earthquakes. And in Ukraine where a country is in the flames of war ...in Goma DRC, where villagers are fleeing their home again due to war.

We pray for them, and ourselves too, that we may find peace.

*2. Birth Pains*

But these things keep fulfilling the words of Jesus. These are the beginning of the birth pains. Persecution shall follow, betraying one another, the love of many growing cold, and some falling away...

Your prayer should be, "I don't want to fall away. I don't want to grow cold and heartless against my brothers and sisters... I don't want to betray others for the sake of personal security, pride or money... I don't want to follow false prophets for whatever reason... But, I want to stay true and strong right towards the end..."

*3. Find Peace*

We must make efforts to find peace and development at personal, family and national levels. But don't lose heart, grow cold, or be frustrated when sometimes it doesn't work out as planned. We should not stop praying, but give thanks to God for whatever and all that He has given us. And, For all things that He has done. It is hard enough for the world to find stability, because sin has made it face the unavoidable events that it faces. The words of God stands before us to be fulfilled.

Above all, we pray for ourselves, our families and the church, because it says, there are those who will come through. They are the ones who shall endure unto the end. And we want, I want to be among them. These are the holy ones, the victorious saints that will go marching in, as soldiers in the assembly of formation of those that have won the war.
Amen.

*BLESS THE LORD*

*Deuteronomy 8*
10 When you have eaten and are satisfied, bless the LORD your God for the good land that he has given you.

17 You may say to yourselves, ‘I have become wealthy by my own strength and by my own ability.’

The word teachers us that God has put us in a good land. Our land is our promised land. In it God has put all the materials we need for this life. And God helps us to get this wealth according to verse 18.

But there is something also important in the land and our relationship with God. We must bless and thank God for the land in which we stay in, work in, harvest and extract our produce. We must bless the Lord. We must give thanks to God. We thank God by acknowledging Him as the one who enables us.

*1. First fruits*

First fruits were things that were harvested right from the beginning. They are still relevant today, because Jesus said, "...seek you first the kingdom of God...". Experience has taught us that we get preoccupied by many things. There are things that we sometimes rush to do first, even after making promises to God to put Him first. We use our earnings upon many things and put God last, sometimes not at all. But when you are disciplined, you put God first. And you will give thanks to God well enough.

When you thank God, you have the mindset of seeing God in you, in other people and, in the situations and circumstances around you.

*2. See God in Your Family*

For all that you are blessed with, you consider your family as the rightful beneficiaries of your earnings. God blesses a woman or a man, for the sake of their spouse and children. These people are the image of God to you. And you will not abuse your earnings, using them against your family or by disrespecting them.

*3. See God in Your Parents*

Your parents also represent the image of God in your life. They are God's delegated authority to you. In fact the word says, "...honour your father and your mother"... this is the first command with a promise..." The promise is long life in the land that God has placed you in. Long life is years on earth. Long life is also secure prosperity over a long time. Your prosperity will not be for a season. But God's blessing is spiritual and it manifests itself physically. It stays and is watered by responsible management of our environment which includes our relationships.

*4. See God in The Church*

The first four commandments are centred on our appreciation, respect and worship of God. We must give God His dues which includes our time. The church as an institution is not a business. However the wealth of it's people is its wealth. When the people are poor, the church is poor. When the people are prospering, the church is also prospering. Thus we must keep our service in giving time and through giving and in offerings.
We must honour the servants of God that we turn to for prayer, counseling and teaching. And God gifts and assigns members of the church to meet its needs.

*5. See God in Other People*

The Bible says, "...how can you love God when you don't love other people who are made in the image of God...". Jesus in judgement shall say, "...when you did it to the least of these, you did it for me...". Remember the widows and the fatherless.

We should not be negligent as is said in Deuteronomy. Do not neglect to bless the Lord. If we do, we are actively relying on our own abilities, our own strength, our own intelligence, our own faculties...and effectively saying, "my own abilities have helped me to get these things"

These commandments, instructions and teachings are necessary for our peace and good continuation. We must be humble and bless the Lord.

Amen.

THE FIRST CHRISTMAS

Luke 2

1 Now in those days an order was published by Caesar Augustus that the whole world should be registered.
2 This was the first registration taken while Quirinius was governor of Syria.
3 So all the people went to their hometowns to be registered.
4 Joseph, too, went up from the city of Nazareth in Galilee to Judea, to the City of David (called Bethlehem), because he was a descendant of the household and family of David.
5 He went there to be registered with Mary, who had been promised to him in marriage and was pregnant.
6 While they were there, the time came for her to have her baby,
7 and she gave birth to her first child, a son. She wrapped him in strips of cloth and laid him in a feeding trough, because there was no place for them in the guest quarters.

Merry Christmas brethren. Indeed we say these words as a wish for the best and provisions to be made for us at this particular time of the year. It sometimes is, but it is not always is the case, as we should celebrate more important matters.

*1. The Political Order*

The Emperor, Caesar Augustus published an order for everyone living person in his dominion to be registered in a census. This required _kuti munhu wese aende kumusha kwake._

But for Joseph, as we see, it was very inconvenient. _Kwaisava kumusha kwaakavaka, kana kune hama, asi kwaingoziva kuti ndekwezitateguru rake David._

For him, and other Israelis, it could have been another opportunity to sulk and complain. Caesar wasn't really their king, but a Roman who had forced his rulership on them through force. Then, he makes this inconvenient order again.

Brethren, no matter the politics and administration circumstances that may sorround us, that teaches to focus on what is important, and do the right thing. _Hazvisi zvese zvatinongofanirwa kuchema nekuita nharo. Siyana nazvo, hazvisi kungobata iwe chete._ You surely will live and the order will not kill you!

*2. An Inconvenient Time*

At this time Joseph was in what many could call a complicated situation. He had learnt and accepted that his fiance, Mary was pregnant. Now he was traveling by donkey, with a pregnant woman!

_Sezvo mafambire acho emazuva iwayo, aitora nguva, nguva yekuberekwa kwemwana ndokubva yakwana!_ Imagine if Joseph was our generation, _pangadai paine kuchema kwakadii?_
To Joseph, according to the Bible, Mary was promised to him, he had not yet officially taken her as his wife. But we see that he had already taken full responsibility.

*3. No Room*

Eventually, the child is born on this trip. O, how much we are supposed to look up to God, and trust him and thank him for the real important things.

When the child is born, there is no room for delivery, or after-care. _Joseph naMary vanongoshandisawo zviripo, chidyiro chemombe._

I don't quite understand the description of the cloths that baby Jesus was wrapped in, but I realize _zvaingova zvekuti zvifambe mwana adziirwe._

What are we saying brethren. It's good to make preparation, and for things to be convenient, and all other things to be in order, but it is really much more important to focus on important things.

Let's keep our eyes on God, that He is still in charge, despite the actions of world rulers, managers, administrators, providers or breadwinners.

Your family situation, or provisions may not be perfect, but you have each other.

Your house or accommodation may not be according to exact world expectations and desires...but Jehovah God is your cover and protection.

Lastly, for today, this passage tells us, that a child was born. You were born, your family members were born, your neighbors were born...and God gave us all life, despite the different world conditions. And Jesus was born to us, let's celebrate Him and each other and say, God is good and *it is well* .

Amen.

*WHO IS JESUS OF NAZARETH TO YOU?*

*Matthew 16*
_13 When Jesus came into the coasts of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, Whom do men say that I the Son of Man am?_
_14 And they said, Some say that You are John the Baptist: some, Elijah; and others, Jeremiah, or one of the prophets._
_15 He saith unto them, But whom say you that I am?_
_16 And Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God._
_17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed are you, Simon son of Jona: for flesh and blood has not revealed it unto you, but my Father which is in Heaven._
_18 And I say unto you, That you are Peter, and upon this rock I will build my Church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it._

*1. The Need To Follow Someone*

People follow religions, heroes, powerful people and groups in order to associate themselves with victory. Not only for that, but also in hope that, perhaps we too may bring the same victories into our own lives.

This is the reason why Jesus in this passage speaks about *His Church* . Do you know that there are many churches, and they do not all belong to Jesus?

What is a church. Simply, it is a grouping of people that congregate together, subject to it's leader, to carry out his purpose. The group takes their purpose from the leader, from which they often meet, to talk about things, and to plan about what to do for themselves and their environment.

Churches are councils who carry out their masters' purpose. The church of Jesus Christ has an agenda and work to do.

So, for the many groups and associations, people follow someone and they are looking forward to benefit and achieve something from this relationship.

*2. Our Need For a Saviour*

We follow heroes and big people because we all need help. We need that super person to solve our problems and help us to get ahead. No matter how much we may claim independence, or good personal abilities, we all need someone to give us a hand. We yearn for that Special Someone Who is programmed in our subconscious, to be sought. We yearn and we seek for Him.

And people behave like little babies who know that they need something, but keep on trying all kinds of things, crying and making noise.
Some try, food, wealth, fame, drugs, relationships with men or women, and in heroes of men and women, in groups, in societies...
This is because man is looking for The Helper, The Deliverer, The Great Giver, The Healer...that Special Person.
In Hebrew He is called Messiah, and from the Greek, He is the Christ.

*3. What Do People Say?*

Different people have different views about salvation itself, that is why there are so many religions. But most of religion is born out of rebellion, that is, the need to independently establish our own ways to find the Saviour, or to salvation.

What is salvation? It is being helped out of our mess, our fallen state, helplessness and from the injuries arising out of our own failures, and ultimately, salvation from death, because inside us is written a program that we must live...forever. Salvation leads us back to life.

We must however, admit that this life cannot be found outside of our Maker...God. But God established that Way through His Son Jesus Christ.

But what do people say about Jesus? Many reject and dismiss Him. And some who claim to believe in Him, water down His claims, His role and work of salvation, such that He just becomes one among many men, one among many religious figures, who really cannot help us. Some do not bother to really know Him themselves, and they depend on other people's views. They depend on the views of politicians, religious leaders, community leaders, elders or parents, friends and the media...and they try to be politically correct so that they don't offend anyone.

Who is Jesus to you?

*4. But What Do You, Personally Say?*

Before we join, Jesus' council, or group of people called the Church, we must come to a personal realisation, view and acceptance of Him. No one can be saved until they come to that revelation that Peter received:

Jesus of Nazareth, came out from God Himself and is that very Saviour of our lives we are all looking for. You may say it in a differently arranged way, but the meaning will always be that:

Jesus, You are the Christ/Messiah/Saviour, the Son of the true God who is alive and Who created the worlds and us. Jesus was sent to save us, to help our lives and bring us to eternal life.

So Jesus is not just a mere human church, nor a political party, or religious group, neither one of the mbingas, nor a sports team, nor a rich and powerful country, neither a race of people or their culture, nor a secret society, riches, nor wealth and riches nor social influence...He is above all these things in order to personally save us and admit us into His Kingdom, the Kingdom of God.

And it is only people who have accepted Jesus this way, who are part of His church. Jesus never rejected that there are, and there shall be many churches, but only one matters, that is His, and it is the only one where you find truly saved people, who are also carrying out His work. By the way, it is also not a denomination.

*Let us pray* : Thank You Father God for sending Your Son, Jesus of Nazareth to save us. Help us to remain in His Church, and to do all His will, defeating the kingdom of Satan in our lives, and in whomsoever and to wherever you send us. In Jesus' Name.
Amen.

OFFENSES

(DO NOT GET ENTANGLED 4)

Matthew 24

9 Then they will hand you over to suffer affliction and tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for My name's sake.
10 And then many will be offended and repelled and will begin to distrust and desert [Him Whom they ought to trust and obey] and will stumble and fall away and betray one another and pursue one another with hatred.
11 And many false prophets will rise up and deceive and lead many into error.
12 And the love of the great body of people will grow cold because of the multiplied lawlessness and iniquity,
13 But he who endures to the end will be saved.
14 And this good news of the kingdom (the Gospel) will be preached throughout the whole world as a testimony to all the nations, and then will come the end.
AMPLIFIED BIBLE.

1. Concerning the End

This portion makes difficult reading because of what Jesus says will happen to the community of believers in the end times. Those that will make it need to be people of faith and they need the grace of God to overcome.
The disciples had asked questions concerning about:

a. When will these things happen, the things that Jesus said, starting with the destruction of the temple?

b. What will be the signs of Jesus second coming?

c. And the signs of the end of the world. The world systems, as we know it, its social life, economics, political and legal systems will come to an end.

2. Betrayals and Suffering

But for the community of believers, Jesus prophesies that there will be difficulties to be faced:

a. Betrayal of one another in affliction. Being troubled, humiliated and tortured by the world, and that some will give up their faith.

b. Being killed by the world because of their faith,

c. And the believers will be hated by the world.

3. Refusal to Conform to the World

Believers are made to suffer these things, because they do not conform to the world. The world demands conformity, which is agreement to their ways in:

- Social life,
- Relationships; for example, their lesbianism, gay, bisexualism and transsexualism, disregard of marriage according to God’s law and promiscuity.
- Bad science which conflicts with faith and religion.
- Bad laws that afflict people, against true worship, exalting humanism and particular humans, thus removing and replacing Christ and God.

Jesus at the beginning of His answer and teaching says, “MANY WILL COME IN MY NAME”. People will come in the name of CHRIST, as the saviour of people, even in the Name of Jesus of Nazareth. But, they will claim His very place, attributing to themselves the power of salvation and deliverance. So if one does not conform to their
- Social,
- Political,
- Economic,
- Human leadership and
- World systems that are dominated by corruption, immorality, rejection and blaspheme against God.

4. Offenses and Betrayals

According to the Lord Jesus, these things will have an impact on the community of believers. There will be betrayals of one another. Believers are people that are supposed to be in agreement, choosing earthly survival, wealth and protection at the expense, even of brethren. Of course many may even cover their actions in rationalisation and religious language.

So, some will be offended . What does it mean to be offended? They will lose their faith God, in Christ and the Church. And they will leave the Church because it does not meet their worldly expectations of:

a. Providing worldly comforts and protection from persecution and guarantee of earthly life.
These are those who just want to save their lives that have worldly expectations of the church.

b. And there are others, whose faith is shaky, and they just want to save their lives, thus betraying their faith and their brethren.

c. Then there are those who get offended because brothers betrayed them. Some see brothers fail to stand. Those that they trust and that they thought were up there fail the test of endurance, morality and righteousness.

Thus indeed the love of many shall wax cold. _Rudo rwevazhinji rwuchagwamba._

5. Endure The Christian Journey

The lord Jesus is very open with us from the start. The Christian walk may be tough. And that the end time will not be a picnic. So if one encounters:
- Betrayal,
- People falling and failing,
- People loving worldly wealth and materials more than God, thus betraying brethren and the Church,
- Afflictions at the hands of the world because of righteousness, being ridiculed and being hated,
- Believers being handed over to worldly authorities and getting killed.

Some of these things happened a long time ago, in the middle ages, and in recent history. And presently, in some places, believers face persecution and restrictions in worship.

What type of a believer are you? Stand and endure to the very end and do not be a part time, or one who is just seeking relief from worldly troubles but without an eternal perspective. Do not get offended by anyone, inside or outside the church, or the environment of social life, economics or world politics.
Amen.

*RUMOURS OF WARS*

Greetings to you brethren. Blessings of grace and life to you from our Lord Jesus, our Father and the Holy Spirit.

(Matthew 24:6 KJV) _And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet.

(Mark 13:7 KJV) _And when ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars, be ye not troubled: for such things must needs be; but the end shall not be yet.

The Lord Jesus here warns us, His disciples, about what is to come. It's about rumours. Rumours of wars.

The primary concern is of news which may not be verified but is circulating everywhere. People are talking, some in whispers and there is something new to gossip about everyday. In our age, the media is spewing out information without rest. 24 hours, 365 days all round. It is now difficult to separate fact from fiction. Now one needs to be disciplined about how you handle all these things flying before our faces and swirling around our ears demanding attention, our participation, even to pass it on as truth.

One needs to be prayerful, following hard after the spirit, in order that they may not carried away by every wind blowing about the world.

*1. Rumours of Wars*

The rumours are driven by competition happening between people, institutions, companies, tribes and nations. Everyone wants more, and to be better and more secure from their enemies and lack of resources.

So when people talk, and when you hear true or false news, it driven, at the back of everything, by the truth of competition for things between human beings.

So next time you hear a rumour, ask yourself, who stands to gain, and to gain what.
And the Bible warns us not to be involved in another man's sin (1 Tim 5:22).

*2. Be Ye Not Troubled*

When people of the world are troubled by all the news that is coming at them, Jesus says we, people of faith, should not be troubled.
The Bible tells us not fear what they fear (Isaiah 8:12, 1 Peter 3:14).

There is news which circulates, about wars between nations, between politicians, companies and others. This can be very unsettling.
Jesus says, concerning these days, the hearts of many shall fail them (Luke 21:26).

Vanhu vachavhunduka nokuda kwehupenyu, nezvanonzwa zvinovatyisa, votadza kupfuurira mberi zvakanaka.

Do no be dragged behind because of the things that come to your ears.

Our eyes and our ears are very critical in the faith journey. If the diet of your soul and spirit is just these things of the world , it will not do well for your faith.

Hence feed for yourself with the word of God, prayer, good fellowship and the witness of the Gospel. Listen to and participate in things that uplift your spirit. Your inner man needs to be fed for you to be able to stand until the end. There is no way anyone can hope to overcome the barrage of information attack that the world is unleashing on people, if those people are not fed from God's table.

*3. The End is Not Yet*

Now Jesus assures us that the barrage of true and false information coming to our ears everyday, is in order and expected on God's calendar. It must happen. But do not forget, not to be disturbed by it.

Dzimwe news nemakuhwa rambawo kuteerera_ .

However, do not think that the end is here. In other words we should plan for our lives going forward, working for our families and serving the Lord.
In fact Jesus assures us about the one thing that will be an indicator for the end: the Gospel of the Kingdom of God must have been preached everywhere (Mat 24:14). Every place and household on earth must have received the Good News.
So instead of us circulating things that we are not sure of brethren, let's circulate the Gospel.

God in Heaven, is establishing His rulership everywhere. All people are invited to receive His Son Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour of their souls to partake in His kingdom.

Let us carry on sharing this good news about the kingdom and Jesus Christ, for all these world kingdoms and political entities, shall overtaken and taken over by Jesus Christ (Rev 11:15). Let's get ready now.
Amen.

*WATCH FOR THE SECOND COMING*
(Do Not Be entangled 3) Luke 12:37-50

Good day brethren. May the grace of the Lord Jesus keep you in sound mind, provided for and in good health.

The Lord Jesus said, _"When the Son of Man comes, shall he find faith on earth?",_ Luke 18:8.
_Mwanakomana WeMunhu Paanodzoka, achawana vanhu vachine kutenda here?_
That faith,
zeal,
commitment and
love for brethren.
This is an area of concern that the Lord would ask about. Or else, people will change their priorities and begin to chase after other things and forget that, we are here working for the Lord, who is coming back.

*1. Watching*

Our life is literally a watch. That is a definite period of time with a beginning and an end.

Those that work shifts will understand easily. One starts a shift at 0600 and ends at 1200, another 1200 to1800, another 1800 to 2400.

And He says, if the Master of the house had known the hour the thief was coming, he would have stayed up and not suffered loss.

But, God will not deceived by chancers, who are not committed, _vanoda kuzongomira mira pazuva racho._ Therefore he hid that day. Why? Because He only wants the genuine to enter the Kingdom.

In God there is not, _Rinonyenga Rinohwarara rinozosimudza musoro rawana_ ... Where someone pretends, but will show their true character once they have what they want.

Those that enter the Kingdom are watchmen who will be severally tested, to make sure that they are worthy.

*2. Put in Charge*

Every one of us has been put in charge of something. We have gifts, talents, time and possessions that God has given us.

We must use them wisely and responsibly for the Kingdom.

God has made the universe, and shut people's natural eyes and their feelings from seeing that He is watching us. All the time. This gives people the freedom to behave freely and do whatever they like. That is a great test.

Then one forgets and begins to be abusive. To abuse is to *ab*- normally *use*. Everything has it's proper use, but once you convert it, and begin to use for other things, that is abuse.

Some thinking the Master is late will abuse fellow servants. Some will abuse, property and wealth, that they can reach their hands on. Some will begin substance abuse, in order to while up time and enjoy the world.

That is the entanglement that the Lord wants us to be wary of.

_Vamwe ndivo vanosimbisana kuita zvakaipa vachirega kurinda kudzoka kwaShe_ .

*3. Given Much*

We have all been given things, and we shall account for them.

When some go on duty, they are given overalls, a torch, a belt, some tools, a vehicle, an assistant, a log book, some cash for the day, keys for doors and safes...etc. When you knock of, each of these details will be checked and required back. They will checked that they have been faithfully used.

But some may cheat for a day, but there is a great day of Audit that no one can escape. Because the *Great Auditor* can see through hidden walls, He can read minds, and He has cameras everywhere recording everything.

To whom that has been given much, it will be required of them.

In this world, I have seen people look silly when they are presented with video evidence, pictures showing them doing what is against their faithful duty.

Jesus is coming back. Keep watching and do what is right. Be faithful to your calling. Those that had strayed repent, and go back to do your duty. Truly love the Lord and serve Him, and no matter what time He comes, your heart has nothing to fear.
Amen.

PROTECTION IN HIS PRESENCE

Good day sons and daughters of the kingdom of Heaven, the kingdom of Jesus Christ our Lord.
Today, we shall make a partial review of Psalm 91, important enough to capture some points that are relevant to the times we are living in.

1. Your Dwelling Place

Ps 91:1
He that dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.

Your dwelling place is where you stay, the place that you have affixed your permanent address. It does not matter whether you are at church or you are not. But you must continuously stay in the presence of the Lord. Home and away.

Isa 26: 3-4
You wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You: because he trusts in You.
Trust you in the Lord for ever: for in the Lord JEHOVAH is everlasting strength:

This is the same as staying in the shadow of the Almighty. God is your light. You are covered and protected from the burning elements of the world. Yet you can see by His light.

When you are very close to the Lord, you are under His protection. Near Him, nothing can successfully approach to harm you. It has to come through Jehovah first.

Gen 15:1
After these things the word of the Lord came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward.

Now you know how bodyguards work? Even if they bear weapons to fight enemies, their own bodies also work as a shield if there is a strike aimed at the VIP.
Jesus made us into VIPs. He made you a VIP in order to bring you forth into His kingdom.

God’s own body shields you. That is why Jesus went to the cross, for us, for you. The bullet of death that was aimed at you, hit Him instead.
The bullet of sickness, that was aimed you hit Jesus instead.
The bullet of strife and pain that was aimed at you hit Jesus.

Isa 53: 4-5, AMP.
Surely He has borne our griefs (sicknesses, weaknesses, and distresses) and carried our sorrows and pains [of punishment], yet we [ignorantly] considered Him stricken, smitten, and afflicted by God [as if with leprosy].
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.

2. SURE DELIVERANCE

Psalm 91:3
Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the noisesome pestilence.

A snare is a trap and this one is meant to catch a fowl, which is a bird. Birds are deceived by traps only to be caught. There are things set out by the devil to catch and destroy us. But the Lord intervenes and rescues us. Even if you don’t have sufficient knowledge, wisdom or tools to fight back against the enemy, God fights for you.

The noisome pestilence is that widespread disease that ravages through communities, causing destruction and death. It is noisome and dangerous and it strikes fear in the hearts of many. But the Lord, because of your place of your permanent residence, He will deliver you. Even if it looks like you are surrounded and outnumbered, you will not be captured by the enemy for destruction.

This pestilence walks in darkness, beyond what you can see. The pestilence suddenly alights on people ambushing them. Yet the Lord can see in darkness because, to Him, the day is as the night. He will stop it dead in its tracks.

3. THOUSANDS FALLING

Psalm 91:7
A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you.

The promise is that even if thousands fall on the right, or on the left, the destruction will not come near you. That is a promise for those who have a made a permanent residence in Jehovah. Their habitation is spiritual.

Col 3:3
For ye are dead, and your life is hid with Christ in God.

Therefore no evil shall befall you. Neither shall any plague come near your dwelling place. Your dwelling place is in God. It is highly sanitized environment. No pathogen can approach the light and fire of Jehovah, who is the creator of the Heavens and the Earth. Are pathogens, bacteria and viruses not His creation? Can God’s dwelling place be invaded and spoiled by the very creatures He created? No!

Isa 54: 16-17
"Behold, I have created the blacksmith who blows the coals in the fire, who brings forth an instrument for his work; and I have created the spoiler to destroy.
No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me," says the Lord.

Psalm 91:11
For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.

4. LONG LIFE SATISFACTION

Because you have set your love on the Lord, he will deliver you. When you call upon Him, He will hear and He will answer. God will satisfy you with long life, to accomplish all the purposes He has placed within your life. And when it is time to go, you will gladly take the journey home.

For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Phil 1:21

Because you have stayed in the Lord, trusted in Him, given Him all your mind and strength and, like just Moses, like Jesus, you will come to the end, not suddenly, but purposefully. Jesus evaded and avoided death when it was not yet time but, at the final hour, He said “It is finished”. That was a satisfying life, meant for all the children of God: a life which accomplishes God’s purposes, and cannot be arbitrarily terminated by the devil, his agents, plagues, pestilences or pandemics.

Amen.
