Matthew 18:32-35
“Then the master called the servant in. ‘You wicked servant,’ he said, ‘I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn’t you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?’ In anger his master handed him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed.
“This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother or sister from your heart.”

Matthew 17:24-27 The Temple Tax.
After Jesus and his disciples arrived in Capernaum, the collectors of the two-drachma temple tax came to Peter and asked, “Doesn’t your teacher pay the temple tax?”
“Yes, he does,” he replied.
When Peter came into the house, Jesus was the first to speak. “What do you think, Simon?” he asked. “From whom do the kings of the earth collect duty and taxes —from their own children or from others?”
“From others,” Peter answered.
“Then the children are exempt,” Jesus said to him. “But so that we may not cause offense, go to the lake and throw out your line. Take the first fish you catch; open its mouth and you will find a four-drachma coin. Take it and give it to them for my tax and yours.”

Psalm 16:8-9 (ESV)
8.I have set the LORD always before me;
because he is at my right hand, I shall not be shaken.
9.Therefore my heart is glad, and my whole being rejoices;
my flesh also dwells secure.

When we set God before us and allow him to be our guide to lead the way, we will feel his strength and power because He is near/close- at our right hand.

We will not be unsettled/shaken/moved by challenging situations because he is close enough for us to hold on to.

As a result, our ‘heart’ (spirit) and in fact our ‘whole being’ (bodies, souls, spirits) will be joyful. There is an emphasis too on our ‘flesh’ (=physical well-being) which will be secure/in good health.

May our heart and our flesh continually cry out to our Father, the living God.
(Psalm 84:2
“My SOUL longs, yes, faints
for the courts of the LORD;
my HEART and FLESH sing for joy to the living God”)

May we always set the Lord, our trusted Guide, before us and allow Him to lead every step/decision/ choice, which will result in a deep settled peace, joy and assurance that all will be well with us…body, soul and spirit.

THE ULTIMATE OFFENSE
The ultimate offense to a post-modern man is the eternal fact that God will raise the dead and judge the human race based upon the fact of their rejection of Jesus Christ and the Redemptive Work offered on the Cross.
2Cor.5:10
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.”
This is the Apostolic view: that men will be held accountable on that day!
It is also written, “It is appointed unto man once to die and thereafter the judgment”
There is a day of appointment with death, it has been pre-arranged in the eternal counsels of God- each one of us has a day, set aside to lay down our fleshly corruptible body and appear before the Judge!
Acts 17 says that God has appointed a day in which He will judge all men.
This calls for repentance- a return to Christ and His ways.
Most people either ignore God, or they relegate Him to a secondary place, or they live totally oblivious to the reality of eternity and life after death.
The gospel of Jesus Christ is not just a formula for conversion, but it is a holy proclamation, contrary to all of the logic of this world —- it contains its own power and requires sons of God to proclaim it —- “It is the power of God unto salvation”

Psalms‬ ‭33:18‬
Behold, the eye of the Lord is upon those who fear Him. On those who hope in His compassion and loving kindness, to deliver them from death and keep them alive in famine. We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield.

Lord, help us to have a positive outlook, to see the good even in hard times, we admit that sometimes our minds are full of hopeless thoughts..as we lay down to sleep fill us with hope from above, hope to face our tomorrow's with joy and Love in Jesus name.
Amen

There are times when God feels distant, and we wonder why our prayers go unanswered or feel uncertain in our decisions. In these moments, it's easy to feel alone and in need of guidance.

Yet, we must remember that our Father is always with us. But where? We find Him in the Scriptures.

John 1:1 NASB1995
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

The Word existed from the start, with God, and is God Himself. In times of need, we don’t have to look far—God is in His Word.

Hebrews 4:12
For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword... discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

God’s Word is not just a book, but a living revelation that reveals the heart and brings us closer to Him.

Psalm 119:105
Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

God’s Word guides us, revealing His will and character to those who follow it.

Isaiah 55:10-11
For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven... so shall My word be... it shall accomplish that which I purpose.

God’s Word always accomplishes His will. Engaging with the Scriptures brings us into His divine purpose.

John 19:30 So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.

In those simple yet profound words “It is finished!” Jesus accomplished His purpose here in earth. His mandate was fulfilled and because of His obedience, we have the opportunity to reconnect with our Heavenly Father.

We too need to be a “finishing” people, we need to finish what we start, no matter how difficult it might be. The cross was not “a walk in the park” for Jesus, He suffered physically, mentally, and even spiritually when His own Father disconnected from Him, not because of what He did, but because of what mankind has done and continues to do.

Our mandate is to fulfill, today, the will of the Father, and complete it.
Let us too have a mentality to finish strong.

John 18:36
Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders. *But now my kingdom is from another place.”*

Being born again gives us the privilege to be a part of this spiritual Kingdom of God.

When we accept Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross , His death and His resurrection, we become part of God's family ...its spiritual ...

Our spirit within us connects us with God's Spirit and relationship happens.

The spiritual realm is more real than the physical.

Our earthly bodies die and decay when our spirit leaves our body.

Think about that a moment,
because there is a place your spirit must go to when it leaves your body....

There are only two destinations.

With God eternally , heaven, or separated from God eternally, in a place called hell.

Yours and my decision is made this side of the grave.
The choosing life or death is this side of the grave .

Lord grant us Wisdom from above to obey You always.

John 18:11
Jesus commanded Peter, “Put your sword away! Shall I not drink the cup the Father has given me?”

John 17:15-19 My prayer is not that you take them out of the world but that you protect them from the evil one. They are not of the world, even as I am not of it. Sanctify them by the truth; your word is truth. As you sent me into the world, I have sent them into the world. For them I sanctify myself, that they too may be truly sanctified.

Thank you Jesus for drinking your cup the Father gave u.
Thank you for not shrinking back but willingly and obediently drinking the cup prepared for You .

We all have a cup Father God has prepared for us.
We all have times where we go through the valley , a place of darkness( Kidron).

We must faithfully and obediently drink our cup.
We must not shrink back .

What are we going through ?

Will we listen to Satans whispers to give in ,give up and take the easy root out?

Is financial struggles too challenging...so we can't give ?
Is marriage too hard?
Is satan at your ear saying get out of it , you better on your own?
Is the pain and constant illness telling you God does not heal or hear your prayers .

Do you push through all the illnesses, the disappointments, the hurts and the discouragement, feeling that you all alone ?

Satan targets those moments and seasons where we in the" Kidron valley "

Jesus crossed over the Kidron Valley to go to the Garden of Gethsemane.
There, while with his disciples, he still went further away on his own to recieve strength and power from His Father .
It was His alone time as darkness was descending upon Him as he bore our sins on the cross.

Kidron is a valley ,a low place.
Meaning Dark,dirty, gloomy.

We need to cross it into the garden of prayer, our Gethsemane, where we through ardent prayer recieve the strength from Father God to drink our cup.
GREATER GRACE TO US ALL

God’s Word is likened unto a mirror (James 1:22-25). The mirror of God’s Word is called the PERFECT LAW OF LIBERTY (v.25), not the perfect law of bo***ge.

A natural mirror does two things, viz.,
(a) It reveals our true state and
(b) It affords us the opportunity to bring correction to it, according to personal subjective standards we or society at large subscribes to.

God’s Word does the same thing, but it reveals three things. It reveals:
(a) Christ, the standard
(b) Our current condition
(c) Who we are in Christ

The revelation of Christ through His Word reveals our present condition and who we are predetermined to be in Him as God’s son. Disparity between these two is adjusted by the Holy Spirit as we submit to the process of obedience to His Word. God’s mirror is not intent on showcasing your weakness or deficiency and leaving it there, but in revealing Christ, it’s intent to empower you via impartation of grace to raise up to the Divine standard.

As you see Christ in His Word, you see how far you have fallen from the Divine standard, but sight of Christ in His word is how you are transformed to be the sons of God in Christ according to the standard of Christ. So, you adjust your present state in and through the power of the Spirit, as you incline your heart to obey God.

Then, in your life, you can “mirror” the image of God reflected in His Word, and not a false image that falls short of God’s glory.

Mirror Christ! Reflect Him!
