What is chasing after you?
In our verse today, David was known as a man after God’s own heart. Murume aidokwaira kutsvaga Mwari nemoyo wake wese. With every battle coming against you, there is goodness and mercy following you. Those are blessings, favor, supernatural opportunities, restoration, divine connections—God’s goodness and mercy following you all the days of your life. You are not blocked from recieving them, you are also included. So before you complain and lose hope in circumstances surrounding you, thank Him for His abundant grace and mercy. Everyone was born a sinner, it took the grace of God, for us to be a new creature born of Spirit. This birth comes when you receive Jesus Christ as your Saviour. The people who were around Paul are heard here testifying that God must be praised for the life of Paul. It is because before, He was a murderer. He used to persecute the people of the way for their faith. He would move with authorized letters to places they meet and persecute them. Some went to jail because of him. Asi now, the same faith he persecuted is what he is now preaching. And people are now glorifying God for him. This is a lesson to us, tine kwatinobva tiine kwatiri kuenda. There is a past we must have left and begin a new life. Paul was a murderer, what where you ?

If you know you need to make some adjustments in your daily walk with Him, the good news is that you can start today, you are not late. Just simply turn to Him and make the commitment to follow Him moment by moment. Make the choice every day to follow Him. Pauri kumuka mangwanani ano, thank Him for another day to serve and follow Him. Ask Him to search your heart and mind and remove anything that would keep you from following Him. How relevant are you in the kingdom of God ? What value do you have as a child of God. 1 John 2 from verse 12, the letter addresses believers in different ranks according to their abilities. *[vs:3]* Paul gathered a pile of brushwood and, as he put it on the fire, a viper, *driven out by the heat* , fastened itself on his hand.

Our God is a consuming fire. Elijah called to God who answers with fire and fire came down. That is the God whom we still worship today because He does not change. He is still answering with fire. Fire produces heat, and the heat drives out everything hiding to come out in the open. Heat exposes zvakavanzika.
