Greater Works
John 14:12
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
Jesus wanted his disciples to do more than what he did. They were supposed to do greater works. Our parents have done their part, but we must do great works.
If you came from a poor family, do not produce a poor family yourself, do greater things than your parents. If you came from a defeated family, do not produce another defeated family, but rather a victorious family.
Don't be surprised or rather be embarrassed after you get old that your parents had a better life than yours.
What effort are you making spiritually, physically and intellectually to produce better results than your parents or those who were before you . What investments are you doing to transform your life. Nothing besides death, hunger and poverty can come whilst you are seated.
Elisha pursued Elijah for a double portion. You do not buy anointing with money, you buy with commitment and endurance.
We need to be wise.
Proverbs 6:6
Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise: 6:7 Which having no guide, overseer, or ruler, 6:8 Provideth her meat in the summer, and gathereth her food in the harvest. 6:9 How long wilt thou sleep, O sluggard? when wilt thou arise out of thy sleep? 6:10 Yet a little sleep, a little slumber, a little folding of the hands to sleep: 6:1 So shall thy poverty come as one that travelleth, and thy want as an armed man.
This is not only physical sleep, it is sleep in every area of life that makes for greatness.
Do not wake up when you have no more time on earth. Time will come when you can't work.
John 9:4
I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
Time will come when your strength will go down for everything.
Make up your mind not produce a poor family, an ungodly family, an evil offspring but the best. Coming generations must strive to produce better results than previous ones. We must have a mindset to improve and not destroy.
Believe in JESUS for greater works and for higher dimensions.
