My salvation and my honor depend on God ; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.

Inspiration

Who we are, what becomes of us in life, and what we accomplish of significance are all in God's hands. We cannot achieve lasting honor for ourselves without his blessing. We cannot secure our future or our safety without his protection and blessing. The basis of all achievement and glory is dependent upon our willingly placing our lives in his care.

Prayer

O Rock, Fortress of my life, I place myself in your care. Take charge of my future and use me for your glory. In you I take refuge and on your strength I rely to make my days worthwhile. In the precious name of Jesus I pray. Amen.

2 Timothy 3:16-17

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

Inspiration

God wants us to be prepared to do good works. Thankfully he gave us the Scriptures. Today we have the Bible translated into many different languages, dialects, and versions. Rather than a threat, this is a great blessing. But we must remember that the goal of Scripture is not to be learned but to be lived. God intended his Word to be practical truth — a gift that prepares us to do every good work.

Prayer

Holy God, it still amazes me that you chose to speak to us, your finite creatures, in our own words. May I never take for granted the great gift of being able to read your Word and learn your Truth. But Father, please give me the character and the courage to put it into practical use and let it train me to do your will. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

_Happy Birthday OHCAI_

On this day in 2011 in Gweru/Mkoba at Matinunura room 17 seven people gathered to worship God under the banner of Open Heaven Christ Assemblies and it was the birth of a movement that will affect thousands upon thousands and transform lives of thousands.

It has been a ride and I continue to see beyond the dark horizon. Many have joined the movement, many have left, many have been translated to glory yet we still stand firm in the hope for a brighter future for us and for generations to come.

Today marks a momentous milestone and to God be the glory now and forevermore. As we meet tonight, we reflect on the positives of the past years and learn from the mistakes thereof and also take courage in the struggles past. We emerge stronger and better, clearer and more profound in our aspirations and vision. Our new year brings in new beginnings.

Thank you to all who have been there, who are there and who will be there in future. OHCAI is bigger than any one single person and its scope goes beyond a single generation.

Even in our darkest moments we remember:
2 Corinthians 1:4-5
*Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. For as the sufferings of Christ abound in us, so our consolation also aboundeth by Christ.*

In our brightest day we never forget that it is the lord who has taken us this far.

TODAY'S MOTIVATIONAL NUGGET
Exodus 14:15 Then the Lord said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the Israelites to move on.."

The Lord told Moses to stop praying and get moving! Prayer must have a vital place in our lives, but there is also a place for action. Sometimes we know what we must do, but we pray for more guidance as an excuse to postpone doing it.

If we know what we should do then it is time to get moving. Your faith grows with every stride you make because our faith is like a muscle - it grows with exercise, gaining strength over time. Move!

TODAY'S MOTIVATIONAL NUGGET

Ezekiel 22:30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make up the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it: but I found none.

This hedge here is not made of physical materials but of faithful people united in their efforts to resist evil. This wall was in disrepair because there was no one who could lead people back to God. The feeble attempts to repair the wall - through religious rituals or messages based on human opinion rather than God's will - were as worthless as whitewash, only covering over real problems.

What the people really needed and even now is total spiritual reconstruction. When we give the appearance of loving God without living his way, we are covering up sins that could eventually damage us beyond repair. Don't use religion as whitewash, repair your life by applying the principles of God's word. Then you can join with others to stand in the gap and make a difference for God in the world.

Point To Ponder
Something must have been wrong and I hope there is nothing wrong in our generation for God to look for one person among billions and not finding them.
