WHAT KIND OF MUSIC DO YOU LISTEN TO?
Music has the power to transport people to certain destinations and attract certain spirits into the lives of those who are listening. That means if it is godly, it can transport you before the throne of God and it if demonic, it can transport you to hell. It is never just music. It depends on who has made it. If the person whose music you are listening to is from the kingdom of darkness and carries demonic spirits, you receive the spirits they carry by listening to them. If they are carrying the Holy Spirit, you will receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit as you listen to them. Heaven comes down and does good things in the life of whoever is listening.
Artists do not just sing. They are anointed to transport what is of their kingdom to their listeners. The question is, who has anointed the person who is making the kind of music you listen to? If that person is anointed by Satan, you are going to receive demonic spirits when you listen to their music. Those demonic spirits will mess up your life and destroy the plans of God for your life. The same is true when you go to church. Those who bow at the altar of God fill the entire building with the anointing of the Holy Spirit as they minister through song. In that instance, people's lives are changed. They are filled with the Holy Spirit and receive healing and deliverance.
Those of the kingdom of darkness are also referred to as “apostles” of their own kingdom. Through their music, they help usher in spirits from darkness and win souls to Satan. If a person carries spirits of s*xual immorality, the listeners will likewise receive those spirits. This is why, when certain music is played in clubs, people often become filled with lust. By the end of the night, many leave holding hands with people they have only just met to have s*x with them. The spirits of lust filled them while they were listening and dancing to the music made by agents of darkness, who are themselves filled with the spirits of s*xual immorality.
These are the things we need to understand as children of God. We cannot be foolish while we call ourselves children of God. Those of the kingdom of darkness can be easily identified if we stop being blind and open our eyes. If a musician is performing half naked and dancing in a s*xual manner, do not allow yourself to connect with them. If you find yourself enjoying such performances, you may have a problem of lust. You need to repent from it and allow God to deliver you. It should not be normal for children of God to be entertained by music made in the kingdom of darkness.
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 10:18-22, “Observe Israel after the flesh: Are not those who eat of the sacrifices partakers of the altar? What am I saying then? That an idol is anything, or what is offered to idols is anything? Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord’s table and of the table of demons. Or do we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than He?”
Paul here is addressing idol worship, but the same applies to music inspired by demons and offered to the devil. If you listen to it, you are a partaker. You are actually fellowshipping with demons and thereby drinking the cup of demons as well as the Lord’s at the same time. You are partaking at the Lord’s table as well as that of Satan. One part of you is given to God while another is given to demons. That is a very dangerous game, even though many take it for granted. Let us not provoke God to anger. There is nothing wrong with loving worldly music if you are not a child of God. If you claim to be a child of God, you cannot be a partaker in altars of darkness.
