TENT OF HOPE DAILY DEVOTIONAL

"2 Timothy 4:7 says, 'I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith.' Life is a battlefield, and celebrations come after every victory. Paul proudly reflected on his fight, calling it a good one. He celebrated two key aspects: finishing his course and keeping his faith. Premature celebrations can lead to shame, so it's essential to celebrate after completing one's course. The faith Paul spoke of isn't just about trust (as described in Hebrews 11:1) but specifically his faith in the Lord. We've seen people who started strong in their faith, but later backslid, despite being good fighters. The question is, what happened? The truth is, they failed to keep their faith in the Lord during their struggles. The Bible encourages us to count it all joy when we face trials, because the trying of our faith... What matters is keeping our faith in the Lord, not just our own strength. To finish your course or mandate, you must guard your faith jealously."

"Don't Lose Your Star" - Matthew 2:1-2 (KJV)

When Jesus was born in Bethlehem, Judea, during the reign of King Herod, wise men from the East arrived in Jerusalem, asking, "Where is the newborn King of the Jews? We have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him."

Matthew 2 tells the story of the three wise men who traveled from different locations, guided by a common sign - the star. As they neared their destination, they interacted with Herod, who wasn’t part of God's plan. However, in doing so, they lost sight of the star that had led them to Jesus' birthplace.

I pondered this in my mind , "Were these wise men descendants of Abraham, guided by the star as promised in Genesis? God told Abraham, 'I will make your descendants as numerous as the sand and the stars.' We see this promise fulfilled in Matthew, where the wise men follow the star."

My question to you is: How many life-changing opportunities or important relationships have you lost due to interactions with the wrong people?

In this new year, be wise in forming relationships and avoid losing valuable connections due to wrong associations. Remember, wrong connections can lead to wrong influences.

Focus on What Matters

The journey of building dreams or fulfilling destiny is not a smooth path or process. There are many obstacles along the way, even stumbling blocks that can distract you from achieving your goals. But I'm here today to deliver this news: don't get distracted by obstacles and negative thoughts. Keep your eyes on the outcome and the joy that's ahead.

Focusing on the negative is a major tool the enemy uses to kill the business or relationship you're building. It might not be easy, but you must soldier on. Somebody is waiting for the harvest of joys that are ahead of you.

The pains you're experiencing, beloved, cannot be compared to what's ahead of you. Jesus once came to a point where He felt like changing His mind due to the pain He felt. Seeing what He was going to experience in the name of bringing salvation to mankind, the Bible says:

"We must focus on Jesus, the source and goal of our faith. He saw the joy ahead of him, so he endured death on the cross and ignored the disgrace it brought him. Now he holds the honored position—the one next to God the Father on the heavenly throne." - Hebrews 12:2 (GW)

From this passage, you can clearly see that the journey to the cross wasn't easy, but Jesus had to endure pain, suffering, and death for our sake. Why? Because "He saw the joy ahead of him."

I speak as a prophet of God that your eyes may be opened so that you can see. After the season of endurance, the Bible says, "He holds the honored position—the one next to God the Father on the heavenly throne." Patience pays, my beloved brethren in Christ.

Don't give up, even when the journey gets tough. There is light at the end of the tunnel, and your patience will be rewarded. If you patiently wait and live to fulfill your destiny, there is a moment of glorification ahead. You will be filled with unspeakable joys.

When you're feeling weak and overwhelmed, God will send you strength and encouragement to keep going. May the Lord send you forth a strengthening angel to strengthen you in your journey to fulfill your destiny in Jesus' name.

Stay focused, endure the challenges, and trust that God has a plan to prosper you. May we be strengthened and encouraged to fulfill our destinies.

Why are running after people who don't even care nor notice your presence?
Why are you running after a person who give you sleepless nights?
Why are you running after a person who always break your heart?
Why are you running after people who doesn't bring joy/peace into your life?
Why are you running after a person who always cheat on you?

Let them go!! remember the Lord knows whats best for us; He's saving you from future embarassment/heart break!!
