The meaning of a scripture text in 2019 shouldn’t be different from how it was taught 1919, neither must it differ from its interpretation in 1019 or AD 19 or 19BC

Cast away pride and insincerity falsehood(s) does not profit. God is not responsible for what we think/assume He said but what He in truth said and means, that is why He can not be twisted or trapped in and by the faults/misdeeds/misinterpretations of His Word by men both saved and unsaved!

He is only "implicated" by what He said, not what He is thought or suggested to have said. No wonder the scriptures (record of what His word) MUST be handled diligently so that in its communication by us, only what God said and intended heard/understood/believed is put across.

That is why effort/diligence put in to expose the mind of God in the scriptures must NEVER be degraded or IN ANY MANNER thought unnecessary! NEVER! I choose to honor those who honor Gods mind by laboring to present the mind of the Father as is passed through by means of the written word!

2 Timothy 2:15 KJV
[15] Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

1 Timothy 5:17 KJV
[17] Let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honour, especially they who labour in the word and doctrine.

Put it away

Even if you are sincere, you will have to eventually regret or take back words said in anger and bitterness and offense. Whilst you can apologize later, the earlier effect might not be easy to erase. It’s better to deal with anger and bitterness alone and not spread its influence.
Paul says “put it away from you”
It means “your conversations, reactions, sermons for preachers, Comments generally“

You will be doing many a whole good this way.

THIS IS A TIMELY COUNSEL:

This has been on my mind since yesterday.

Never, because of offenses, join yourself with unprofitable alliances.

There are some of us who get offended by the people we are with, and because of that offense, we join ourselves to people we shouldn't be with, many times as a way of getting back at those who offended us.

This is childish, immature, and dangerous.

What was Judas doing with those who wanted his Master killed? When you read the Matthew and Mark account, you'd see that Judas went to ally with Jesus' enemies, after Jesus rebuked him for troubling that woman who poured her expensive oil on him. Judas perhaps felt offended for being rebuked. He perhaps considered it public embarrassment. He sold out his master and couldn't live with the guilt. He hung himself.

Many people get offended because they are publicly rebuked. And because they wanted to show that they are "man enough", you'd see them cozying around people they normally shouldn't roll with. They want to use it to "pepper" the one who rebuked them. This is very childish.

Never let offenses do that to you.
You'd hear different voices in your head when you're offended, each suggesting how you can get back at the person who offended you. Please calm down. Don't do it.

It has been said that Ahitophel's decision to betray David may not be unconnected to his being offended at what David did to Uriah, because he was Bathsheba's uncle. He eventually committed su***de too.

Don't uproot yourself from your "company" because of offense. It is dangerous. Stay there. If you can't look away from the offense, address it. Confront your offender. Iron the situation out with love. And remain in your place.

The devil is the father of lies. He -the life, the is the originator of it; he leads men to think that God wants nothing to do with man. However, the gospel debunks this in showing God’s love in that he wants all men reconciled to him in his son. The Message of the Gospel runs as a thread all through the scriptures and is referred to and described in various ways, with various expressions:

1. THE GOOD NEWS.
Mark 14:9 AMP
And surely I tell you, wherever the good news (the Gospel) is proclaimed in the entire world, what she has done will be told in memory of her.

For I am not ashamed of the Gospel (good news) of Christ, for it is God's power working unto salvation [for deliverance from eternal death] to everyone who believes with a personal trust and a confident surrender and firm reliance, to the Jew first and also to the Greek,

The world needs to know that God wants them to be reconciled to HIM. They need to know that He no longer holds sin against them and that they can come just as they are and accept His Grace which has appeared to all.

Titus 2:11 For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men.

This Message is also that of sonship. God desires to make men sons, by freely imparting His nature into them. He desires to give them a whole new incorruptible origin (1 Peter 1:23, James 1:18) which is the result of a new creation in Christ.

James 1:18 And it was of His own [free] will that He gave us birth [as sons] by [His] Word of Truth, so that we should be a kind of firstfruits of His creatures [a sample of what He created to be consecrated to Himself].AMP

The Gospel is the Message of Truth. The Gospel is the absolute reality about man's need for Redemption and God's solution- The Cross. This message tells how there is salvation in and through no other Name under heaven given among men by and in which men must be saved but the name of Jesus Christ.

Acts 4:12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

It is of utmost importance for the announcer of the message to know exactly what he has been sent with. The gospel must not be innovated, it is not subject to human opinion. It is not historical facts being proven, archaeological facts being discovered, scientific confirmation or human ideology. It is victory over death endorsed by the spirit. The message is definite; it is the truth and will remain rightly so. It is not subject to time, seasons, changes, opinions, etc.
It is about the sufferings of Christ and the glory that followed.

Luke 24:25 Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: 26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?
1 Peter 1:11 Searching what, or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did signify, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glory that should follow.

● Sufferings of Christ (incarnation, temptations, death, burial, descent to Hades).
● Glory that followed (resurrection from the dead, ascension and being seated at the right hand of the Father).

The unreached will remain that way until someone reaches out to them. The world will continue in darkness and death unti l the light of the glorious gospel of Christ shines on them. They will always carry on without God and without hope until the Word of truth is preached, to translate them into the kingdom of God's dear Son.

Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:

Colossians 1:13 Who hath delivered us from the power of darkness, and hath translated us his dear Son:

The ministry of the Spirit is Christ, the message of the Spirit is Christ. The ministry of the Spirit is not power. The Holy Spirit did not bring power to US, it is the suffering of Christ that did. The Holy Spirit unveils the power to us, He did not bring the power. He brings revelation of the power that Christ gave to us through His sufferings for us! John 16:7-12-15. Galatians 1:7-12. 2 Timothy 3:15-16
