FUNCTION + ELEMENTS = FULFILLMENT
Text: 1 Corinthians 12:4-7, 18, Ephesians 4:16
Each and every one of us has our own function in the house of God, and we need specific elements to fulfill our assignment.
The house of God is not a crowd. It is a body. _1 Cor 12:27_
And in a body, every part has a function. The eye cannot say to the hand "I don't need you."
But here’s the problem: Many people know they are in the house, but they don’t know their function.
And others know their function, but they are missing the elements to fulfill it.
God wants to show you 1. Your FUNCTION, 2. The ELEMENTS you need, 3. How to get FULFILLMENT.
EVERYONE HAS A FUNCTION
1 Corinthians 12:18 _“But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.”_
1. Your function is God-given — Not man, not culture. God placed you.
_Example:_ Bezalel was called to build the tabernacle. _Exodus 31:2-5_ He was filled with the Spirit for a specific function.
2. Your function is unique — No duplicates. If you don’t do it, it won’t get done the way God planned.
3. Your function serves the whole house— _Eph 4:16_ “From him the whole body... grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work.”
You are not here to sit. You are here to serve. The house needs your function.
EVERY FUNCTION NEEDS SPECIFIC ELEMENTS
God never gives an assignment without provision. But the provision is specific.
What are "ELEMENTS"?
Grace, gifts, tools, anointing, timing, people, resources.
1. Moses— Function: Deliver Israel. Element: A rod. _Exodus 4:2_
2. *David— Function: Kill Goliath. Element: 5 smooth stones + sling. _1 Samuel 17_
3. Nehemiah — Function: Rebuild wall. Element: Letters, timber, favor from king. _Nehemiah 2_
4. Samson — Function:To destroy the enemies of Israel. Element: The Spirit of the Lord. _Judges 16:3_
Don’t ask God for someone else’s elements. Ask Him for YOUR elements.
_“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others” — 1 Peter 4:10_
WHEN FUNCTION MEETS ELEMENTS, YOU GET FULFILLMENT
Frustration happens when:
1. Function without elements = Struggle. You’re trying to build without tools.
2. *Elements without function* = Waste. You have gifts but no assignment.
But when they meet: _Fulfillment, impact, growth._
Ephesians 2:10 ...“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”_
God prepared both the WORK and the WORKS to do it.
Church, you are needed.
Stop comparing your function. Stop despising your elements.
3 .Questions for you today
1. What is my function in this house?* Pray _Jer 33:3_ — God will show you.
2. What elements am I missing?* Ask God to supply them.
3. Am I using my elements for the house?* Or for myself?
Father, reveal my function in Your house.
Supply every specific element I need for my assignment.
I refuse to sit idle. Use me to build Your house.

DECLARATION: I have a function. I have the elements. I will fulfill my assignment.
