The 2026 Diocesan Youth Ministry Congress and Annual Bishop's Trophy Festival took place at Jambezi Sacred Heart Mission, attracting over 350 young individuals from across the Diocese of Hwange.
The congress took place between Wednesday and Saturday the last week of August.
The congress involved various activities including teachings, music competitions better known as the Bishop's Trophy.
During the event, young participants were allowed to elect their executive committees, with distinct categories for junior youths aged from 15 years to 18 years, and senior youths aged from 19 to 25 years.

The theme for the 2026 congress was "Young People on the Move: Witness of Faith, Hope, and Mission."

Furthermore, more than 45 youths were inducted by His Lordship Bishop Mabuza Ncube.

41 Youth Inducted into CYA in Hwange Diocese

Bishop Raphael Ncube inducted 41 young people into the Catholic Youth Association (CYA) during the Diocesan Youth Congress at Jambezi, Hwange on 29 August 2026.

The induction reflects the continued growth of faith and active participation of young people in the life of the Catholic Church in Hwange Diocese.
